Michelle at Dallas Bijin is a literal lifesaver and a total legend! 😭 Before finding her, I was at my wit's end. I was spending two hours every single morning battling my hair with heat and endless products just to make it look presentable. I was genuinely ready to give up and chop it all off. What sets Michelle apart is her incredible level of expertise. I have henna in my hair, and every other salon I visited turned me away, claiming it was too difficult or risky to work with. Michelle didn't blink. She knows exactly how to treat henna hair—a specialized skill that only a true expert possesses. She handled it perfectly and gave me results I didn't think were possible. Michelle is incredible! She is super knowledgeable, caring, patient and sweet. She is also a very hard worker and accommodating. It’s my second time coming and I will definitely be back! Having straight yet still smooth, shiny and healthy hair has been life changing!

Stay away, I will spare the details because it sounds like Michelle is ready with a rebuttal unless you have only good things to say. I've had this treatment done in the past and never has it ended so horribly. She will respond to this post sighting that my hair had bleach in it, and yes it had baby highlights (very little from over 1 year ago, no other color nothing) but when she was working on it she said on many occasions that my hair was very healthy and that the product took "90%" to the bleached parts because of the health of my hair. Ultimately what is prompting me to write this review was her response when I told her I was disappointed in the results and requested a refund or for her to fix it. She said "nothing was broken" and proceeded to explain that I should have paid more to take the extra steps necessary to work with the bleach portions. The crazy thing was I did pay a lot for this service, more than I've ever paid for a straightening! And although she agreed to schedule a follow-up appt (at first)to spend 1-2 hrs more on my hair, she changed her mind in the end. Truthfully I am happy about that. DO NOT waste your money or time with Michelle. Pay less and get better results somewhere else!!

Michelle was absolutely incredible from start to finish! The amount of knowledge she has about hair is honestly amazing. She immediately understood my hair type, explained everything so clearly, and made me feel completely confident and comfortable throughout the entire process. Not only is she extremely talented, but she also creates such a positive and calming atmosphere. My hair turned out beautiful, healthy, and exactly what I hoped for. I highly recommend Michelle to anyone looking for someone experienced, knowledgeable, and truly gifted at what she does!

I've had my hair straightened with Michelle twice, and both experiences have been fantastic. She is so patient and walks you through every step of the process — explaining what she's doing, how to care for your hair afterward, and answering all my questions without ever making me feel rushed. Japanese straightening is a long process, but she makes it comfortable and worth every minute. Both times my hair came out silky, smooth, and naturally straight — exactly the result I was hoping for. The results last beautifully too. I'll definitely be coming back for my next touch-up and would highly recommend her to anyone considering permanent straightening or rebonding.
