Burlington

If I could give this location 0 stars I would! I normally don’t leave reviews but it’s been bothering me all day. I went into this store with my 5 year old autistic daughter, first off the cop at the door dang near patted us down like criminals and demanding she throw her drink away, fine. Whatever. Where shopping minding our own business..the only 2 ppl in the lil girls section, out of nowhere and employee approach’s me and says. We gonna have to have u sit ur daughter down. I didn’t argue, I attempted to have my daughter sitn n the cart I guess what u consider like a normal child would do to meet there standards, but my thing is, if u see a child of that size not doing what u consider “normal” don’t u think it’s inappropriate to come ask me to basically contain my child, we weren’t bothering anyone. She was n the cart, she wasn’t disturbing anyone. I just felt like it was hurtful. don’t u think if I can have her sit n b sit I would! I looked all over the website for a policy that states kids must be sitting and acting calm while in the store, and found nothing so at this point to me it’s discrimination, and I will be not all only calling corporate but talking with my lawyer!

This Burlington is in a nice area so I expect the store to be stocked, clean, and fully staffed. Well I was wrong. This store is the complete opposite. I wish I took photos of the bathrooms. Retail store normally have gross bathrooms but that’s no excuse. Under the soap dispenser has mold and mildew build up. Same for right under the hand dryer. The stall I was in had what looked like feces on the wall. Yall should make enough profit to hire professional cleaners versus leaving it for your hourly retail employees. They won’t do as a thorough job than hired cleaners. I also did not like that some of the products specifically in home decor were damaged or broken. If you can’t sell it then it needs to be taken off the floor. I get that some customers come in with no manners and make a mess of the shoes, rugs, clothes, etc but yall need to have staff on the floor keeping everything tidy. Idk if you guys have an issue that not enough People are applying or it’s a management issue. It’s very frustrating when you need some retail therapy but you end up needing therapy after shopping in chaos.

I really wanted to support this Burlington, but my experience today was incredibly frustrating. I stood at the register for nearly an hour just to pay for my items. The lack of urgency and the apparent gap in staffing made the wait unbearable. To make matters worse, the cashier was chewing gum the entire time with a completely indifferent attitude, as if I wasn't even standing there. It felt very unprofessional and dismissive. I hope management addresses the staffing shortage and trains the team on basic customer service, because this was a waste of my time.

Weird dystopian vibes at this place. When you enter you have to wait for a security guard to unlock the rope fence they have at the entrance. Then, before they let you go through the security guard literally makes you look up to see yourself on the giant security TV above the entrance. I don’t care about security cameras but being forced to to look at it before entering is VERY strange and uncomfortable. Not sure the locked rope fence thing is legal, seems like it may be against fire safety code??? It’s hilarious that they treat everyone like a criminal the second you walk in, because there’s nothing in this store worth stealing. The selection is terrible and the prices aren’t low enough to make up for it. I saw shoes that were so old the rubber was starting to harden. The manufacturing date on the sticker was pre-Covid. This Burlington Coat Factory store has a VERY dystopian vibe. Would never recommend anyone come here. I would never recommend anyone go to any Burlington actually, unless you enjoy a hostile environment lol.

Burlington in the Epic West Towne Crossing is a solid spot for bargain shopping. 🛍️ The store has a wide variety of clothes, shoes, home décor, and accessories with decent discounts. What I liked: Good selection of name brands at lower prices than many regular stores. Home section offers some nice décor pieces. Staff were generally helpful and checkout was reasonably fast. What to watch out for: The store can get crowded, especially on weekends, which makes browsing slower. Because inventory rotates often, some items disappear fast — if you find something you like, don’t wait. Overall, a reliable place to find value if you're near Hwy 161 in Grand Prairie.
