I never thought I could place my elderly parent in the care of others, but when it came to that point, Caring Canvas AFH was hands down one of the best decisions I could have ever made for my father’s care. My father lived at Caring Canvas for six weeks before his unexpected passing. None of us knew at the time that his disease process was progressing unusually fast. His symptoms were very difficult to manage, requiring frequent medication adjustments and one-to-one care, which was different than how he presented when he first moved in. Fenie, Kevin and the entire staff at Caring Canvas stood by our side despite the challenges Dad’s care put on their team, treating Dad and our family with compassion, collaboration, and professionalism as Dad’s progress waxed and waned. They were always transparent with me about his progress, and I know they tried so very hard to make sure my father was not only safe but also engaged in the things he enjoyed as feasibly possible. They also gave me permission to take off my nurse hat and to be my father’s daughter in a very vulnerable situation. They deeply respected my father and our family, from the time Dad moved in, through hospice, and at his passing. In their exceptional care of my father in the last days of his life, my father passed away peacefully and with dignity. They allowed loved ones to spend as much time with my dad as possible the last few days of his life. I could not be more grateful to them for that. Caring Canvas AFH is an absolute treasure and a safe space that will always be close to my heart. I could not recommend them enough.

My Mom moved into Caring Canvas from an assisted living facility in October 2025, and while I was nervous with the change, I couldn’t be happier with the results. I can tell Kevin, Fenie and their entire team really care for the residents and their well being. Kevin is in constant communication with me about my Mom’s care and everyone is always looking at ways to make her life better. Whether it’s coordinating health care visits or letting me know about little changes that’s can improve her health or happiness, I really feel Mom is in good hands. Thank you Caring Canvas!

Caring Canvas is absolutely amazing!! Every single staff member truly cares about each patient and their family members. They took great care of my brother, figuring out his medication needs as he struggled with dementia. The owner and employees worked with hospice and his family to make his last days comfortable. They even permitted me stay with him the last few days. They treated me like family and I appreciate it. I highly recommend them to anyone who seeks top notch care for their loved ones. As a hospice nurse, I have had the privilege of working with many care facilities, and I can confidently say that Caring Canvas stands out as one of the best. The staff here truly go above and beyond to provide exceptional care for their residents, ensuring not only their physical comfort but their emotional well-being as well. The home is always clean, warm, and welcoming, and it’s clear that the caregivers genuinely care about each individual. The management team is highly responsive, and worked well with our hospice team. It’s rare to find such a supportive, compassionate, and skilled team in a small care setting, and I feel fortunate to have been able to collaborate with them in providing the best care possible for our hospice patient.
