CoCo Beauty Cut

Unfortunately, this was one of the most unprofessional salon experiences I’ve ever had. I called before coming and clearly asked if I needed an appointment. The lady told me, “No, just come now.” When I arrived, I waited for about 30 minutes with my family in the car. Instead of respecting the order, she took another walk-in client (a man) before me, even though I had already been waiting. And after all that waiting, she told me she couldn’t take me because I “have kids in the car,” even though I explained that my children were safely with their father. This is very unprofessional and disrespectful: No respect for time, no respect for customers, and no honesty when giving information on the phone. If they cannot take clients or don’t know how to manage their appointments, they should say that from the beginning instead of wasting people’s time. I do not recommend this place at all.

DO NOT GO TO COCO FOR A HAIRCUT. THEY ABSOLUTELY MESSED UP MY MOM’S HAIR BEYOND REPAIR. The hair stylists at CoCo Beauty Cut were not able to match a given picture. My mother expressed extreme dissatisfaction with them cutting the hair too short, both front and the bangs, but they refused to help and charged her full price. I rarely give 1-Star ratings for any locally owned businesses, but they are criminal for doing this to the normal citizens of Alameda. I highly recommend against visiting this scam of a hair stylist.

I regularly, for five years, got my hair cut here. CoCo was always, repeat always friendly, competent and highly professional. . . and a good conversationalist too. I have nothing but praise and great respect for the work she does. I noticed a poor review by a 'Ryan K.' regarding a cut his Mother got. . . please note that Ryan is a "Momma's Boy" and a renown complainer (I think he was the "Bubble Boy" in the 'Jerry Seinfeld Show', so you know what I'm talking bout!). Anyway, I think that the good People of Alameda, where members of my esteamed family have lived for over 50 years, should pop in and check out CoCo Beauty for themselves.

I really like Coco! I came here on a whim (called ahead, then walked in half an hour later) looking for an affordable haircut, and Coco was exactly what I was looking for. There was a little bit of a delay--a client came back asking for an adjustment to the haircut they'd gotten earlier that day, but Coco was communicative about it and made sure I was okay waiting. I admired the extra effort to ensure her clients were happy with how their haircut looked. During the haircut, she checked in with me multiple times about the style I wanted, and I loved the end result. Coco made me feel comfortable and the cut was quick and good! $25 for a haircut, but don't forget to tip :)
