Colonial Donuts

Colonial Doughnuts on Lakeshore is absolutely worth a stop! They have an incredible selection of fresh doughnuts with something for everyone, and their large croissant breakfast sandwiches are delicious, filling, and made to order. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and provides great service, making the experience even better. The only minor drawback is the atmosphere—they only have standing tables, so there isn’t really a comfortable place to sit and enjoy your meal. That said, the outstanding food and excellent service more than make up for it. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been coming here for years but a lot more consistently in the last couple of months. Normally I come at night for a late night treat and the lady who usually works in the evenings is great. I usually buy $5.25 worth of donuts since I usually pay by phone. Two regular donuts and three donut holes. Today I came during my lunch and I was going to pay cash. I ordered two regular donuts and two donut holes. It was a different lady this time and she mumbled the total and then handed me my change. When I looked at my change I asked her again what was the total and she said $5.35. I said for two donuts and two donut holes are you sure? She said yes. I told her the total I got was $4.80. She asked me for the change she gave me back and then gave me the correct change. She never apologized or acknowledge the mistake she was actually annoyed that I questioned her at all. People make mistakes but to never even bother to apologize or acknowledge it is disrespectful to me as a customer.

Colonial Donuts has been an Oakland Gem since forever! 💎 One of the places in town that is a must-try! I've been coming here since high school, which was 20 years ago, the staff are super friendly and very kind. I usually get the donut holes, maple bacon, filled bars, and filled French Cruller. They are made fresh daily. They're the best donuts in town! 🍩

Old school feel, open 24/7, delicious and unique options sold here. First place I’ve had an Ube cake donut and saw a red velvet donut made 3 ways. Maple icing taste incredible and not like other shops. Don’t miss out if you’re in area!
