The restaurant is clean and the food is decent. I ordered Com Tam, a Vietnamese dish made with broken rice. Many places do not use broken rice, but this one actually uses it, which is a big plus. The owner and staff are very friendly. I also bought some desserts that the owner gave me extra as a bonus. We had to come back the second time to try their pho and crab noodle soup. Also, they do have daily special menu. I recommend this restaurant.

After trying so many places around San Antonio, I can finally say I found my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant! This was our second visit this week because it was just that good. I’ve been searching for a restaurant that serves an authentic, perfectly crispy bánh xèo, and this place absolutely delivered. It was everything I was hoping for and is officially my go-to spot whenever I’m craving Vietnamese food. We also ordered the pork chop and the grilled pork vermicelli roll, and both were just as delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself is clean, bright, and welcoming, and the staff made the experience even better. Thu was especially kind and helpful with her recommendations and even treated us to their homemade tea, which was incredibly refreshing and a perfect complement to the meal. It’s not often that we return to a restaurant twice in one week, but this place earned it. We’ll definitely be back many more times and will be recommending it to all of our friends and family. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Vietnamese food in San Antonio, this is the place to go!

Best Vietnamese restaurant in San Antonio! Love their pork chops and the chicken dish. I could probably eat three orders of the yellow rice that comes with the chicken. Love how you can pay extra to add more meat because it's a must for the pork chop! Pho hits the spot, especially on rainy days!

I wanted to try them out since the food truck days but never got the chance to do so. Maybe I ordered too close to closing time but my food was not what I expected. My bun bo hue had no flavor, almost tasted water down, the only spice was from the chili slices they packed with the veggies. My husband’s pho had a thick layer of oil on the top we tried to scoop out as much as possible but was still too oily and was missing flavor. We got a little piece of lemon, no hoisin sauce or sriracha.

Anyone that knows me, knows I love good home cooking. Ones that knows the authentic tastes. Been to Com atan Ba Thi back when they had their food truck for over 5 years. This family is so nice and had a great reputation not only for their foods, but very down to earth people. One of their most popular dishes are banh khot. Which I love along with their other dishes like banh xeo, pork chop dish and more. Highly recommend you call to verify of they have banh khot or banh xeo as it often runs out fast! Just like any restaurants I travel far for specific dish I want that day. I would give them a ring. If you haven’t tried them, do give it s shot! You will not disappoint. Hard to find good food with genuine family atmospher.
