Curry Boys BBQ

My boyfriend and I travelled around America from the UK for 3 weeks and this was the best meal we had during our entire trip, maybe actually ever. We were in San Antonio for 4 days and it was so good, we had to come back before we left! Anastasia was the sweetest and friendliest server and made our trip so memorable - thank you so much! We got the cookbook to take home so we can attempt to recreate the magic!! Highly recommend the Good Luck Cluck, Thai Green Salad, Pork Belly Dunkers and Ube Cheesecake. It was such an interesting twist on typical Texas BBQ and it’s just done so perfectly. Meat is perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. Flavours are perfectly balanced. I’m so sad we live across the pond. Please don’t miss this place if you’re in the area!

Walk into a place with a bright pink interior and a menu that forces a head-scratching collision between Texas smokehouse and Southeast Asian curry, and you're bound to feel a little confused. It’s definitely an odd vibe, but honestly? It completely works. I tried the brisket sandwich special, which came topped with queso. It was delicious, though if I’m splitting hairs, I thought it could have used a bit more of that traditional, punchy BBQ flavor to balance the richness. Still, the flavor profile somehow came together beautifully. Just a heads-up if you're a creature of habit: don’t expect fries or your standard BBQ sides here. There’s nothing "normal" about the side lineup—think potato salad and coleslaw flipped on their heads with things like cold curry noodles or cucumber salads instead. If you're willing to trust the pink walls and the weird fusion, your tastebuds will thank you. It’s chaotic, but it’s delicious.

The wife and I had a great time at Curry Boys BBQ. The staff was super friendly while educating us on the menu and layout of options. We shared the Pulled Pork Nachos and the special, Brisket Chopper Sammich. Both were excellent and I would highly recommend. Parking may be a challenge.

On a day trip to San Antonio we were craving BBQ and stumbled across this spot. Absolutely love the Thai-bbq fusion. Brisket was flavorful, should’ve asked for another slice. Curry and vegetables balanced the dish. I really enjoyed this meal, I will probably have this again next time I’m in San Antonio. I also love the vibe and atmosphere, the person taking our order was very welcoming, and food came out in a decent amount of time.

Excellent recipe flavor, quality, quantity, freshness. Unique fudion if BBQ & Asian cuisine. Enjoyed a Japanese beer, Kirin, with my meal. Counter associate was incredibly patient answering all my questions since it was our 1st visit. She also checked on us to make sure everything was good. We'll be back.
