Da Barber Shop

First time in- took my curly haired son who doesn’t like getting his haircut! Michael the owner did an excellent and detailed job & was very patient and personable. Great haircut highly recommend!

Was going to give this place a try based on location being convenient, and reviews seemed decent. Came about 930am on a weekday because online hours said open at 8am. When I walked to the door, nobody was inside but a man not sure if it was the owner or employee, but he seen us walk up to door and was sitting in his car on his phone. After waiting about a min or 2 of us waiting in front, he came out of his car and went inside shop and closed door behind him, but STILL said nothing. I opened door shortly after asking if he was open, and he said he was cleaning up and wouldn't have someone come until 10am or 1030am. The business hours on door said earlier open time than what he said and I pointed that out. His response was "we gotta change that". I honestly would have waited til whatever time they could have seen my kid if there was some sort of acknowledgment, hospitality,or better customer service but received none of that. Was really disappointed. I'm all about supporting black and latino businesses but could not tell you any positive feedback from my experience. Was more annoyed for time wasted when dude sitting in the car could've paused his call for a few seconds to let us know something instead us looking around clueless. The idea is to attract business not discourage people from bringing you business. The barbers Inc. That's where we ended up going. Gave 2 stars because I couldn't say I hated it since I received no services but just overall disappointed with information not being up to date with current business hours and definitely customer service was lacking.

After years of being frustrated with the barber shops where I live(west San Jose near Valley Fair), I found Da Barber about 7 years ago and simce then, only take my boys there. Excellent, professional, friendly. My sons always look amazing.

I absolutely love and adore this barber shop.My cousin Michael owns it an he is one of my favorite cousins indeed, and he as well as the team there are incredible people, who make you feel right at home.I highly suggest everyone goes here;if you want great, professional and hospitable business.LOVE YOU GUYS!!

The guy who cut my sons hair was super nice and patient. My son is only 16 months and was crying and moving around the whole time. He dealt with it pretty well and for what its worth gave my son a decent hair cut.
