Daily Glam Nails

I had high hopes for Daily Glam Nails in Alameda, but unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing salon experiences I’ve ever had. I paid $80 total ($70 for a short Gel X set and a $10 tip), and my nails began chipping the very next day—then continued to chip every day after. How is that supposed to last weeks? I’m new to California, but in Phoenix, AZ, my Gel X manicures consistently lasted 4–6 weeks. I’d only return for grow-out, not because they looked awful within 24 hours. To make matters worse, I had to settle for a polish color I didn’t even like because they were out of most of the shades I wanted. I’ve never been to a salon with such a limited polish selection. And when I arrived, no one greeted me—just blank stares. It felt cold, unwelcoming, and not at all the vibe I’d expect from a beauty business. While my nail tech was polite, I had to follow up multiple times just to try to get them redone. I even asked for a manager to contact me, but a week later, I still have no idea who runs the shop. I would’ve gone back sooner to get them fixed, but I had to fly out Sunday night for a week-long work trip—where I had to show up with visibly chipped nails at business meetings. It was frustrating and honestly embarrassing. To be transparent: I did mistakenly arrive at 2:30 thinking that was my appointment time, when it was actually 2:15. The nail tech still agreed to take me and told me we’d need to skip the French manicure I originally wanted. I agreed to a solid color, but I now regret not walking out and finding a salon that greets its customers and uses polish that doesn’t crack in less than 48 hours. At this point, I’m not even interested in a redo—I just want my $80 refunded. Between the rushed job, poor quality, lack of communication, and complete absence of accountability, I won’t be returning. I’m very particular about service, and this was by far the worst nail job I’ve had in my 39 years. Save your time and money. Go somewhere that makes you feel welcomed and actually delivers on the service you’re paying for. Photos posted were taken less than 48 hours after my appointment.

It’s a hidden gem. If you’re looking for excellent customer service, nails that just giving, creative, high quality, new, spotless, spacious and airy, this is the spot. The glam team is super profesh. Naomi is my go to. I’m always super happy with the gel x and designs. Cidelia and Sofia are also excellent. I first went there over a year ago when I was pregnant and the level of service is impeccable. You need to make an appointment. You won’t be disappointed.

Been coming here for about a year now and every time I love my nails. I love APRES GEL X and Naomi always does a great job. I love that I can schedule online and that I can pick a picture online of nails I like I walk out with the same thing.

I made a day trip from San Jose to Castro Valley to get my nails and hair done in preparation for a wedding. I was running 5 minutes late, so I called to give a heads up, no one answered. I arrived at my 10:15 appointment at 10:20 and drove around the neighborhood because this nail salon is in a strip mall with absolutely no signage. When I was arriving and trying to find the location I called again and no one answered. I finally pull up and the space was empty and the neighbor studio said the nail tech left. Such a bad experience and could have been resolved if they would answer the phone. Absolute waste of my time driving 45 minutes.
