Dentistry of Alameda

Dr. Tran is the most knowledgeable, compassionate and solution driven dentist that I have ever had! My first visit to the dentist as 12 years old, I had 9 cavities, 3 teeth needing root canals/caps, etc. My dental history must be at least 300 pages if printed out. Regarding dental health, genetically, I was dealt a “bad hand”. I met Dr. Tran because my kids Insurance stopped being accepted at our prior dentist and because her practice was highly recommended in the Alameda community. When learning about more, I was pleased to see that she doesn’t hire associates and given my prior dentistry experience, this was a major green flag. The office itself is cozy, welcoming, and meticulously clean. My kids absolutely love Dr. Tran and her staff (seriously). Shortly thereafter, I moved my dental issues over to her care, as well. Dr. Tran was the first dentist to truly understand the balance between good dental care and cost-effective treatments/solutions. She helped me plan for the work I had been putting off and was thoughtful about presenting all avenues and options as to how to go about this. She deeply cares that her patients are completely satisfied. To sum it up Dr. Tran is a genius with dental work and the best in Alameda/Bay area, which is also true for her staff.

I was on the hunt to find a new dentist closer to where I live and stumbled upon Dr. Tran's office. My first appointment with Dr. Tran and her colleagues was a very pleasant experience. I was warmly welcomed in and seated in the waiting room for a short time. They called me back right away and Sharon, the dental hygienist, began with a few x-rays and then cleaning my teeth. Sharon had a light touch and was gentle enough not to cause any discomfort, yet extremely thorough. Once she was finished, Dr. Tran came in to look to see how everything was looking. She was very kind and guided me in my on-going journey of dental health. I also received a cool goodies bag afterwards and set up my next appointment! Overall, my experience with Dr. Tran and her staff was wonderful and I would definitely recommend seeing her if you're looking for a new dentist!

I have been coming to this office fore some time. When I met Dr. Tran, I thought she was very thorough and honest. She didn't find any new cavities but showed me areas that could be potential cavities in the future. She even showed me how to floss properly. I am happy Dr. Brohard found such a great dentist for me. See you in six months!

Awful. She inherited clients from Dr. Brohard, and told me I had shadows everywhere in my teeth in the xrays. She told me I'd need thousands of dollars of work done, and had me pretty scared. She also told me my inspection visit was not being charged, then I got several bills in the mail. Then the office secretary (a really nice woman), had to call me to get the payment! So I paid, for fear of collection agencies. I've seen 2 new dentists and they told me I have no problem with my teeth. I believe this new dentist is trying to drum up business by scaring patients into believing false diagnosis.

Great local dentist, and everyone is friendly. It’s hard to find a place that accommodates exclusive hand scaling (for those with receding gums) and also have gentle enough working hands. Disclaimer: I have no dental issues, so I have no experience with them when the real work needs to be done; I only go 2x a year for cleans.
