Dr. Elain W. Tong, DO

Dr. Tong is an amazing doctor and an amazing person as well. She is everything I have been looking for in a primary doctor. She is honest and empathetic as well as professional and very informative. I am grateful for finding her randomly on the internet and connecting with her to get the help I need to better my health journey. Dr. Tong is special because she believes in both western and eastern medicine in health. It really supports my beliefs in a combination of holistic medicine and science. She and her staff are open minded and accommodating while always being helpful and caring. It has been a joy to meet a doctor who actually cares about her patients. Thank you so much!!!

Dr. Tong and her staff are pleasant, but they’re quicker to follow up about billing than about lab results. They charged us extra for a “diagnostic assessment” that was simply her prescribing an antibiotic for a fungal infection- which does not make sense to me. When I reached out about lab results that seemed urgent to me, I was told the office is a month behind and going on vacation, so I shouldn’t expect to hear back anytime soon. This reflects a lack of accountability and lack of general responsiveness, and it broke our trust. Their priorities don’t match what they claim to value. I’m very disappointed. I won’t be returning.

Dr Tong is an amazing physician who was able to treat a very stubborn sunspot that gave me back my confidence. Before my wife referred me to Dr Tong. I had seen a dermatologist who after 3 rounds of cryosurgery made my skin and sun spot worse and the damaged area larger. I then tried electrolysis which left the area seem like a large dark burn scar. Each treatment was more painful than the last and results were becoming worse with each treatment as well. It was embarrassing to show my face and it took away my confidence. My wife found that Dr Tong treats difficult sunspots with picosure laser so I decided to give this a try. To my delight, a very professional and friendly Dr Tong showed some before and after photos that assured me of her abilities. After 5 rounds of treatment. The damaged spot is nearly invisible and I couldn't be happier. Dr Tong has restored by self-esteem. I no longer had to cover up my face and avoid eye contact with others. I can't thank her enough. I only wish I had only gone to her sooner. If you are considering treatment for sunspots, I can't recommend Dr Tong enough. Much gratitude to Dr Tong and her super friendly staff Katherine.

The office is very nice and has a great feel. Aquarium, crystals, geodes right when you enter. Katherine (front office) is fantastic and always happy to help with anything needed. My experience with Dr. Tong was always great. She is a good listener, takes the time to understand your needs and questions, and I’ve never been rushed out of the office. Five stars! 😊

Email replies and telephone calls are not answered. I've moved out of California and can't go in person to the office. I'm now left with paying a double bill despite already making a payment and nobody answering my emails/phone calls to explain I've already made a payment. Would not recommend this practice purely because of poor communication.
