El Chango Night Market

AWWWW where do I start ive had a lot of food in my life. I've also been to a lot of food market/ foodie events but this one is at the top right now. Always a new guy trying to show out. Always good food and people. Not one altercation has happened the few times ive been able to attend. loving tis new energy and scene in the area

Love the atmosphere at this location ! They have delicious sweets and great food ! You must try though the pastas from The Brothers Bistro 👌🏻 the way how they make their pastas literally reminds me of a restaurant I would go to in Malibu.

This is another night market that I've been meaning to go to and I've finally got the chance to experience the food! This time I started by trying out the tlayuda from Vicky's Quesadillas all of the ingredients are freshly made from the sauces to the meats all the way to the corn dough! The salsa verde was amazing! Spicy but not overpowering the flavors of the other ingredients. Did I mention the tortilla was hand made and had a filling of grounded beans on the inside! Overall I highly recommend Vicky's Quesadillas. Next I tried some asada and pastor tacos. I can't recall the name of the vendor but it is Puebla style tacos. The tortillas were fresh and handmade. The tacos were filled with a generous amount of guacamole sauce my favorite! They were pretty tasty with red and green salsa. They were also offering some fresh boiled beans on the side as well, perfect for the cold weather! Last but not least I tried out the freshly handmade empanadas over at Empanadas la Flor. I ordered the cheese and potatoes empanadas. The dough is hand pressed into the shape of an empanada and filled with cheese and potatoes then it is submerged into hot boiling oil to make a nice and crispy empanada! Then it is garnished with some lettuce, cheese and cream along with red salsa this elevates the flavor to where it's fresh and zesty on the outside followed by a light and crispy flavor from the outside shell of the empanada. Followed by a soft, chewy and doughy flavor as you eat through the center! Overall I highly recommend this spot if you're hungry for freshly made Mexican food. There's also other foods like funnel cakes, mini doughnuts, pastas, BBQ ribs, hibachi so there's plenty of dishes for everyone! Street parking on Main St is also free on Sundays!

Friday to Sunday. Parking is $5 if you can find any. Pay cash or qr code. Street parking available. Plenty of vendors with lots of variety. From your sweets, aguas, coffe to your bbq, pork, pupusas, teriyaki and so much more. You can find something good here.

Honestly I was hesitating to visit after reading mixed reviews here and there, but I'm glad it turned out better than we thought. We came as a party of 10 on a Friday night. Parking is relatively easy if you come early, street parking is free after 6, and there is also a lot up the street for $10. Alameda night market is a fairly small market located in DTLA, despite it being small, it has a good amount of food vendors to choose from! They offer mostly Mexican food, and a few dessert vendors (D cake, mini pancake, churros, freshly made popcorn, and flan cakes) I think there is a burger vendor as well! The highlight thoughout the night was the Birria tacos w/ consommé, all the combos ($13) are good, and I honestly loved their #3. However, I probably wouldn't recommend the tapatio ramen from any vendor at this market location, they are salty and overpriced. The biggest con would be the seating, I wish they had more. I like that it's a dog friendly environment and it has a $2 bounce house for kids to enjoy! Note: Cash only mostly, some accept Venmo, and it is booze free!
