El Rancho Supermercado

Came in for a menudo bowl and this place did not disappoint. Consomé was nicely seasoned, meat (beef tripe) was on point, tender and seasoned. Down side, no hominy but still enjoyed it. You get a pack of about 6-7 corn tortillas, a pack of onions, cilantro, limes and oregano. Also tried a variety of tacos; tripita (a little tough, not crispy as I’m used to), egg and nopales, egg a la mexicana; also a little on the dry side but to be fair, it was late morning; so didn’t surprise me, cause I’ve had fresh breakfast when I’ve gone in early in the morning. As all typical Mexican markets, they have their sweet bread area, cakes for all occasions area, bolillo cases. A big variety of hot food, carne asada, all pastor, chicken, chile rellenos, green chile pork stew, chile colorado pork, chicharrón en salsa verde, etc. They have got a massive tortilla making machine with four rows rolling through all at once. Vegetable/fruit dept, meat dept and plenty of isles of your general groceries. If you are hungry, you will have come to the right place, where you want to eat there in the seating area or take some to cook at home. Last but not least, great prices. 4 tacos for $6.36, 1 menudo for $8.99, 1.5 litter bottle of Sidral Mundet(apple soda) for $2.15. Definitely a bueno, bonito y barato place.

Wow the cashier ladies were so rude. I tried to read their names (badges were turned backwards). Rude for no reason at all is why I am appalled. I didn't believe it, so I came back the next day, even worse CS(still spent my manyeeee smh). Hmm interesting, but good to know we are not welcome...as a balck woman I am so confused

Just had the best experience at El Rancho Supermarket! The employees are some of the kindest and most helpful people I’ve encountered. A special thank you to Silvia, who went above and beyond to help me today. Her kindness and excellent customer service truly made my day. I love to shop at El Rancho in Irving Texas. They have fresh meat and vegetables. I always find everything I need there. Most important I always receive great service from your CSA Silvia L. Always provides great service when I need assistance at self checkout and helps me find items in the store. Muy Bien trabajo Silvia. Will always shop at El Rancho!!!!!

It's funny because when people who speak Spanish come to stores where they only speak English they expect someone to assist them. But when it's the exact reverse they make no attempt to assist even when the other person has pulled out Google translate to try to help themselves. The way some of the employees made me feel like why did she even come in here is crazy. Not friendly at all. Mo one in the store even when you're smiling at them. A smile cost nothing. The next time am order comes up for this store in particular I will think twice.
