First Dental Care

I’ve been coming to First Dental Care for 10 years and can't recommend this practice enough. This review is long overdue! Every time I visit this office, I feel extremely comfortable and at ease, which is hard to say for most dental offices. Dr. Kim is incredibly friendly and professional, always taking the time to explain everything and answering any questions or concerns I have. He even offers simple, practical tips I can do at home to maintain healthy teeth. Esmyra, the dental hygienist, is very gentle yet thorough in her cleanings and also patiently explains excellent home care tips. I never feel rushed by either practitioners during my visits, but I am still taken care of in an efficient and timely manner. ​I also want to give a shoutout to the rest of the team - from the assistants to the xray technicians - who have all been very kind and professional. A special thanks to Alicia and the front office team for always keeping everything running smoothly, as well. ​What I appreciate most, however, is how honest and transparent Dr. Kim and First Dental Care is. I've always been informed about all my options for my treatment and care, including pricing, and never feel pressured into any services unnecessarily. If you want a kind and trustworthy dental team who will take good care of you, First Dental Care is it!

Thank you Dr. Kim and staff for treating my dental needs today. I literally put on my calendar my appointment was today, but when I got there, I learned that my appointment is the next day. The office and Dr. Kim were so kind and empathetic, took into consideration my 1.5hr drive from SD and squeezed me in despite their already fully booked schedule. Needless to say, all my dental needs were fully care for and addressed with care and attention. I truly appreciate Dr. Kim, his staff, and First Dental Care office.

I've been coming to this dental office for the past 7 years and have had a positive experience. Dr. Kim is the best, and I always leave satisfied knowing Dr. Kim took his time making sure my dental work is done well. My whole family also comes to First Dental Care because we trust the work being done here is quality work which is hard to find in many dental offices today.

I have been going here for 8 years. While this place has polite doctors and staff, they have become too busy, over booking more patients than they can properly care for. I have medi medi and they helped me get signed up for the Advantage plan to hopefully get my implants partially paid for. With that said, I'm still waiting to see how that works out. Although I like the doctors, their policies suck. Appointment times are strictly enforced. If you're late at all, even a few minutes, they cancel your appointment right at the appointment time, and you probably won't get another appointment for weeks. This has been a serious issue for me. The doctors cancel as well and they expect you to be flexible, but they aren't at all. I also had their fillings fall out , twice. One filling that fell out was going to be root canaled and then re-filled, but the doctor cancelled the appointment and I didn't get another one for over a month, during which time I got an infection in the gum. The doctor cancelled my next appointment as well. By the time I was seen the tooth was not savable. So I lost an important chewing molar and went through serious gum pain and infection for which I had to take antibiotics. All bcause they could not schedule me expeditiously. I now am missing am important chewing molar and cannot afford implants myself. So now I have to wait 6 months to accrue enough benefits to fix their mistake. I wouldn't need an implant if the filling never fell out. I wouldnt need an implant if they didn't reschedule me twice. I would expect anyone going there to experience difficulty seeing and maintaining appointments and if you get fillings they have the possibility of falling out.

They lie, claiming that it is covered by insurance when it actually isn't.
