FiT For A King Tailors

We recently had All Star alter and hem my daughters’ prom dresses. They turned out perfectly and we were so happy with the end results. Highly recommend.

Wow! The customer service here is superb. He really focuses on his customer’s satisfaction. I had a last minute black tie dinner come up and the dress I found was over a foot too long. I needed it in 3 days and they were able to get it done beautifully. It fit PERFECTLY when I went to try it on. Fast service, beautiful stitching, and very good customer service and care. The price was cheaper than my coworkers who used other tailers as well. Multiple people complimented the dress at the event. I will be coming back!! Before and after pictures below!

I don’t ever write reviews for places but felt this one needed to be posted. If I could give this place a 0/5 stars I would. I took my wedding dress in to be altered and left feeling concerned for how it would turn out. I felt rushed during the whole fitting process and did not feel that they were as concerned that the dress fit how I wanted than they were to get me out of there to move on to the next person. Despite feeling weary of the situation, I decided to trust the good reviews and let it be. I went back to try it on when they were done and it fit horribly. My boobs popped out with any forward movement of my arms, one side sagged while the other stayed put, my bra was exposed in the back due to sagging there as well. When I asked them if there was anything to do to fix the obviously horrible job they did, they told me no, there was nothing they could do. As I repeatedly asked if there was no way to take in the top more as it was obviously sagging, they pointed to my mom belly and said “it’s too tight, your stomach is showing”. I was not concerned about this area of the dress nor did I ever mention it to them while I was there, but I guess they felt the need to point it out to me. The cherry on top of this whole situation is I paid almost $200, all due at the drop off. Anyways, I am taking the dress to a different place who agreed with me that the top is not tight enough and might need additional support with bonings. Why the people at Fit for a King didn’t recommend the same thing after me persistently asking for ANYTHING to try and make it better? I have no idea. I recommend finding a different alterations place for special events. P.S. the pictures do no justice to just how awful the top sags. I just opted to not post images where my entire boobs were falling out after I slightly moved my arms forward. Update: I took the dress to Lilly’s Alterations in friendswood where she is taking the dress in by THREE INCHES through the chest and waist. Highly recommend Lilly for bridal dresses! She takes her time, makes sure you like the way you feel in the dress, and does not gaslight you unlike Fit for a King!

I took my gown to have it shortened. They measured it while I was wearing the dress and shoes, and I clearly said I didn’t want it touching the floor. After three weeks, I picked it up and tried it on. Very disappointing results. The sides are above the floor while the front and back still drag very unevenly. It’s a very poor job for $81 on a simple double hem. They tried to blame it on me not wearing the shoes, but even standing on two phone books, the hem was still uneven and touching the floor in places. I won’t be coming back. The place is messy and I’ve lost confidence in their work. I feel ripped off.

I came here to have my wedding dress altered with no prior experience with this alteration shop. I know it was a big risk because this dress was for a major life event. I am so glad I trusted my guts and went this shop. The shop is ran by a sweet couple and they knew exactly needed to be done. I had the straps shorten, dress length altered, and back lace taken off. I was quoted a very fair price and turn around time was quick as well. I highly recommend this shop.
