Edit: I learned from a licensed aesthetician after posting my review on Facebook that in the state of Washington it is illegal for a PMU to perform lash extensions if they are not a licensed cosmetologist or aesthetician. Unfortunately, because Mariah had me blocked I cannot confirm that she has either one or both of these licenses and will be reporting her Come Monday morning when I am back in office and have my computer To fill out the form. And her initial messages to me. She does tell me that she is a PMU and nothing else so unfortunately, the service she provided to me is illegal unless otherwise proof is produced. October 2, I saw Mariah after hours in her home for a set of lashes. During the process, my left eye kept twitching and I struggled to keep it closed. I vocalized many times to her that my eye kept twitching and it was uncomfortable. Her response was “you’re fine”, “it’s okay”. I think I talked more than I’ve ever talked in my life with this appointment to try and distract myself so my eyelids wouldn’t twitch. Prior to starting I had a few lashes left from an old set and showed her what they looked like and said they were a little full but I liked them, my standard set had been a hybrid. When she untaped me after two hours (I needed to relieve the person with my kids), she said that in the corner of my right eye, she should’ve placed two clusters and come back in the morning for those. When I sat up, I needed a minute because her fan wasn’t charged and my eyes hurt A LOT. I drove home and had to lay down due to my left eye in specific being in so much pain. The next day, my left eye still was immensely red. I decided to skip the two clusters on the right eye. I also told her that whatever made my eye so red and irritated made me determine I was not a good fit as a client. The complimentary fill she’s referring to in her messages is the two clusters in the right eye. I initially went to her because I was on a smaller lash budget, but this is what happens when you decide to go cheaper. It’s been 8 days and the last picture is what they look like now. They are very sparse and not even half full. They fall out very easily when I brush them. It was a $35 deposit with $45 after the service was complete. Unfortunately, she blocked me on Facebook so I can’t even try to to resolve the issue with her.
