I recently used Liberty Moving Company for my move from San Francisco to Beverly Hills, and I could not be happier with the experience. Dima and his team were absolutely outstanding from beginning to end. They were professional, friendly, efficient, and extremely careful with all of my belongings. Moving such a long distance can be stressful, but they made the entire process smooth and easy. The team worked quickly without sacrificing quality or care, and everything arrived complete, intact, and in perfect condition. Dima was communicative, organized, and clearly very experienced. What really stood out was how respectful and attentive the team was throughout the move. They handled every item with care and made sure everything was delivered safely and set up properly. I highly recommend Liberty Moving Company to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy movers. The moving experience was absolutely horrendous. This group of individuals that came to our house were not only incompetent but also of questionable character. We have missing items from cardboard boxes and plastic containers. It’s truly disgusting. The one named Vlad was not pleasant to work with from the moment he stepped into our house. At one point I asked him to reposition a painting from lying flat to vertical, and his response was dismissive, and he chose to ignore my request. That painting was damaged. One of the many issues with them came from how the move was handled under rainy conditions. I understand weather can complicate things, but several decisions created avoidable problems: - My Peloton bike was left outside in the rain for a period of time, partially covered but still exposed, and they scratched the base. - Multiple cardboard boxes got wet during loading and unloading, because they really don’t care AT ALL about your property. - Eugene and Igor were asked twice to use the blankets I provided to protect the boxes. However, at the destination, wet blankets were left under the boxes, exposing them to further moisture. This is a complete lack of common sense and negligence, and I had to replace many boxes to avoid further damage. - Boxes clearly marked as “Fragile” were not handled with the level of care expected, causing damage to multiple items (See photos). - Eugene broke light bulbs at my house and remained silent. It shows his lack of decency and honesty. Additionally, these people left a mess behind in the common areas of the building, including tape, gloves, tools, dirt, and debris on the carpets, which my wife and I had to clean up ourselves. I’m not referring to normal dirt inside the apartment, but rather shared spaces that should have been left clean and respected. Few neighbors told us about the unprofessional behavior of this moving crew. The move took about 11 hrs 30 min, and I’m convinced they intentionally delayed the entire process to charge more. While they were having a great time laughing and relaxing in the truck eating tacos, I was in the basement working on the job they were paid to do, getting boxes out of my storage units in the garage. During the move I also visited U-Haul to purchase additional supplies, on top of the 25 new heavy-duty blankets I had provided. Meanwhile they were doing nothing but letting the clock run. It’s no wonder they ran out of time and had to leave behind a significant number of items, causing me to rent a new truck and hire movers to finish the job. As a result of the issues during the move, I had to relocate my belongings to a new storage unit to sort through wet boxes, replace materials, and assess missing property and damage, adding unexpected cost, time, and effort on my end. During billing, they mentioned “double time” as the reason for rounding up to 12 hours. I deeply regret tipping them; they didn’t deserve a single penny. Avoid this company at all costs. They are a group of kids who seem to be having a good time at the expense of damaging your belongings. If you have valuable property, they will definitely cause damage. By the way, most of their 5 stars reviews are fake. === FOLLOW UP RESPONSE All the items packed in cardboard boxes and plastic containers were properly packed by me using appropriate materials from U-Haul and Home Depot. There are observable damage in photos after assessing the condition of my belongings. I raised multiple concerns in real time, including requesting better protection for boxes in the rain, addressing improper placement of items, requesting cleanup of a spill on a marble surface. Clean gloves and shoe removal do not define white-glove service. White-glove service is reflected in overall care, coordination, and execution. I was assured in writing that a 26-ft truck would accommodate all my items plus two storages units based on the walkthrough. The fact that it did not reflects lack of professionalism. Multiple perspectives were shared because more than one person experienced the move.
