Coming from a person, who didn’t get her hair done for 2 years because my hair dresser moved states, I can say that Joanna is hands down top notch. I’ve been seeing her now for 2 years, and it’s been a 10/10. She is sweet, kind, and really listens to what you want. You will not de disappointed!
I had went to Joanna for 15 previous years of great service and had only done the majority of the time, highlights mostly partial and would occasionally do face frame. I would also occasionally add pink dipped here and there. With rose gold. Very basic hair care, nothing fancy or hard. Then until much recently this last year my hair was not being done right. I would communicate this to Joanna and she seemed to want to make it right at first. Mind you, I had only had an issue with my hair the last few times I went to her (again in 15 years) Then the very last time I went to get my highlights done, I came home and realized she has not actually left the bleach on long enough (which I had mentioned to her) enough because my hair had looked basically the same as I went in. All I asked for was the partial highlight she had done on my for 15 years previously: when I brought this to Joanna’s attention and even showed before and after pictures which showed my roots still dark after the partial highlight. Instead of fixing the issue for a very loyal client, that should have been a very basic thing to complete in the first place. she then proceeded to send a AI response and say since I wasn’t happy with her services I should go look for another stylist. This all could’ve and should've been avoided for someone who obviously was loyal to you for many years, and take some accountability for a service that was paid for and wasn’t given. I am including before and after pictures for reference. But it was very clear my hair was being done poorly, possibly to cut corners and she did not like when I started to speak up. I also referred very many family members, friends and co workers to Joanna. Which I will now caution how service was changed. I would just be mindful that even having been a long time client of hers, she was not able to hold herself accountable for not giving people what they were paying her for. I am very disappointed by how I was treated and would caution others that what you pay for may not be what you’ll get.
I can honestly say she is the BEST hairstylist and makeup artist I’ve ever had. I’ve been going to her for the past 7 years, and not once have I had a single issue. Since the day I started going with her, I never had to look for anybody else because she literally does everything, and she does it amazingly. I get my hair color, hair extensions, styling, and makeup done with her, and every single time I leave obsessed with the results. I’m extremely picky with my hair and especially with my makeup, but she always gets everything exactly right. My extensions always look flawless and blend perfectly, my color always comes out beautiful, and my makeup looks professional, soft, and stunning every time. What makes her stand out even more is how professional and caring she is with her clients. She genuinely wants everyone to feel comfortable and taken care of. She always has drinks, snacks, good music playing, and the best positive energy. She’s always smiling, laughing, and creating such a fun environment that appointments never feel long. Even my longest appointments with her feel like 30 minutes because the vibe is always so good. She also has very affordable prices for the quality of work she provides, and she truly goes above and beyond for her clients. If there was ever something you wanted adjusted or changed, she would happily fix it and make sure you leave completely happy, although honestly I’ve never had to complain about anything because her work is always amazing. At this point, she’s more than just my hairstylist she’s a friend. I recommend her 1000% to anyone looking for someone talented, professional, caring, and consistent. I’m so happy I found her, and I’ll keep trusting her with my hair and makeup forever. 💕
