I have been receiving treatment through various modalities for the last 18 months for a severe disc herniation. I have seen Gene for about four sessions now and I am astounded by the amount of body tension he has been able to help me release. His massage treatments go deeper than any other treatment I have received. Before I started seeing him, I would have sciatic pain about once or twice a week and sciatic sensations everyday. Now I am having sciatic sensations about 2-3 times a week and I have not experienced sciatic pain in about a month. Even after I walk five miles or have long plane rides. It is pretty incredible. I will continue to see him to see how this further unfolds. Highly recommend.

I was in San Diego doing some training for a backpacking trip in Kauai that I had been planning for over a year with my wife. Unfortunately, I hadn't figured out how to properly secure my pack to distribute the weight on my hips. I severely screwed up my back by carrying the weight on my shoulders. I had also had intermittent middle back pain for years, but this was crippling pain. I did a Google search, and it just so happened I was staying within walking distance of Gene's business. I was amazed that he had a perfect 5 star review score and read over some of the reviews. As you can see, several of the reviews use the word "miracle." It's not too often I see that word used in a serious context, but after the visit, I could see why! Gene turned me into a pretzel, and used his strength to pry deep into the offending nerves somehow. it was somewhat uncomfortable at times, but I suspected there was good work being done, and I was right! The next day, I woke up with no pain, and was hiking again. A couple of weeks later, my wife and I made to the fabled Kalalau beach, thanks, in no small part to my "Gene Therapy." I had zero back pain during the trip, nor since. It's quite remarkable, really. Thanks again, Gene!

I’m thrilled to have discovered Gene and just had my first massage session today - I’m extremely impressed with his depth of knowledge and thorough understanding of body mechanics, ability to analyze where trouble spots originate - and addressing the source! I feel like a new person. He’s quite strong and he checked in regularly with me regarding pressure. He does a thorough intake upon initial visit and identifies various postural and other alignment concerns. He checked me again afterward and we both noticed a drastic difference! My posture is significantly improved after one session. My walking and gait are also greatly improved. I’m sure his work will also help with my chronic knee issues - as he pointed out my hips were out of alignment -and he addressed that too ! I have been battling several postural and knee issues for years ….His work is the best I’ve found in a long time - and I’m from a former massage therapist. Gene is amazing - Highly recommend!! Gene is in a league of his own! Gene is a great guy who is truly passionate about his work. His knowledge and awareness of the body is incredible and his techniques have given me more benefit than I have ever felt in over 20 years of treatment. My body awareness, posture and confidence have all improved. Thank you Gene!

I have been to Gene twice so far and my experience has been amazing. I reached out because I had been having sciatic/piriformis pain for over a year. I would go on walks and my entire left leg would be in pain. After the first session with Gene, I went for a walk up Torrey Pines and then down to the beach, back up to the top of the hill and back down again with no pain in my leg. It is not 100% fixed yet because I let the pain go on for so long but I am confident that after a few more sessions with Gene I will have full mobility in my leg without any pain. I am so grateful for the healing I've had so far.
