H Mart is one of the cleaner Korean markets I’ve been to, which makes the shopping experience more enjoyable. The store is well-organized, and their meat selection is especially impressive—fresh, high-quality, and with a wide variety to choose from. That said, prices tend to be higher compared to other Korean markets in the area, so it may not be the best option if you’re trying to save money on everyday groceries. The staff is somewhat friendly—generally helpful, though not always consistently warm or engaging. Overall, it’s a solid choice for quality and cleanliness, but you’ll likely pay a premium for it.

Huge thanks to an employee named L*** for her outstanding kindness! ​I had an incredible experience at the H Mart in Buena Park today that I just had to share. I accidentally dropped my driver’s license and payment card inside the store. I was in a complete panic—losing these is not only a financial burden and a time-sink to replace, but also a major privacy risk. ​An amazing employee named L*** saved my day. She actually remembered my face and took the initiative to ensure my belongings were safely returned to me at the front desk. Her honesty and kindness turned what could have been a disastrous week into a month full of gratitude. ​I immediately called the store to speak with the store manager as soon as I got home. She was incredibly kind and professional while listening to my praise for L***. Since this is a public review, I am only using her initial, but the store manager is aware of her full name, and I’m sure H mart can be identified through my receipt/transaction as well. ​I will also be emailing H Mart headquarters to share this story. It’s clear this location values integrity. I sincerely hope H Mart corporate recognizes employees like L*** and the store manager, who go above and beyond to make customers happy!

The groceries were super fresh, the store was spotless, and everything was easy to find. They even have a section where they slice fresh sashimi on the spot—it was incredibly fresh and tasty. They also sell daily-made Korean side dishes and street food, which looked amazing. I’m definitely trying those next time. You can pretty much find any Korean ingredient you need here!

Nice and clean H Mart with its own food court. The mall area around it is convenient too — there are other restaurants, T-Mobile, a bank, and a few more shops all in the same complex. Easy place to get groceries and grab a bite in one stop.
