Happy Lemon - Tacoma

I'm a regular customer and order my favorite mango smoothie at least once a week. Today, my sister ordered two of the same drinks as usual, but the order was prepared incorrectly we received the Crystal Mango instead. I was being very understanding and was actually willing to accept the Crystal Mango drinks. However, before drinking them, I asked the staff to confirm if the "crystal" topping contained pork/gelatin. The employee confirmed, "Yes, it does contain pork." This is the only reason I refused the drinks, as we cannot consume pork for religious and dietary reasons. When I explained this, your staff said they could not offer a refund. Instead, they suggested removing the gelatin pieces from the drinks and handing them back to us. After they removed the topping, they handed me the drinks and said, "Oh, they don't look full because we took them out." This is a picture of the drinks after they removed the gelatin they were incomplete and already contaminated, so we could not consume them. This response was unacceptable and disrespectful. Removing the gelatin does not make the drinks permissible for us to consume once they have been contaminated. My sister was uncomfortable, and the staff were dismissive and rude. We ended up throwing both drinks away. We paid $21 for two drinks and a bad experience, and will never go back. I'm very disappointed. I expected better understanding and training from a place I support regularly.

The young lady was sweet but the drink was awful. It was a ube drink and the boba in it tasted unfresh and the drink itself was not good for the price it cost. The place was nice

The items may be good but service and place is a ZERO 🤢 we came in and it was zero greeting. The lady by the counter even looked surprised she has a customer. Instead of greeting she turned around and showed zero interest. The place was DIRTY! Then I saw another lady that was inside their kitchen. For a place that was not busy maybe at least do some cleaning and wiping the tables or floor. From an asian to another asian and you guys probably own the business. Please try to be welcoming to people because that will benefit your business. I will rather drive to Bellevue to get Happy Lemon again.

This happy lemon sucks. I came in at 6:55 p.m. on Wednesday May 21st. The older Asian lady said she will not make my drink. I asked her politely if I could have a brown sugar milk tea with oolong instead of black tea. She said no. I even asked her I would pay extra. She said no. She was very rude. And then I asked her politely if I could do a Jasmine milk tea and put brown sugar in it instead. She said no. She basically said if you don't see it on the menu. I'm not making it for you. How lazy can she be. She could have even charged me extra. That's not a good business model to tell your customers know. I go to every other happy lemon and they make that drink for me. This is the only happy lemon where they will not make that drink for me. I don't care if they do not do custom orders or not. It's not even that custom. She could have charged me extra. Which I'm willing to pay. This place is a joke

Horrible service, my mistake was asking about an ingredient and was attacked with so much rudeness by the cashier. The girls working there just kept quiet and even tho we were being respectful, the boy attending us needs to understand that we live in a Country were there are different races and food types. Employees need more training in how to treat customers and explain ingredients the right way. We were not attacking any nationality by comparing one thing to another… Kids this days .. and hopefully owner provides better education regarding drinks and their ingredients.
