The first time I tried the lemongrass tofu sandwich at Huong’s Sandwiches, it honestly reset my standards for what a sandwich can be. I haven’t even been there that many times, but that one bite was enough to stick with me. The tofu is perfectly infused with lemongrass—bright, fragrant, and comforting all at once—balanced in a way that feels thoughtful, not overpowering. It’s the kind of flavor that doesn’t shout, but gently reminds you how good simple food can be when it’s made with care. As a vegetarian option, it doesn’t feel like an afterthought at all; it feels intentional, complete, and genuinely heavenly. What makes Huong’s even better is how easy and welcoming it is. There’s basically zero wait, which somehow makes the experience feel calmer, like the universe is briefly on your side. For around ten dollars, you get something that tastes far more special than its price tag suggests. It’s the kind of place you can just drop by—no planning, no stress—and walk out with a sandwich that feels like a small win for your day. In a world where good food often comes with long lines or high prices, Huong’s feels refreshingly kind. Eating that lemongrass tofu sandwich makes me feel ready for whatever comes next. It’s grounding and energizing at the same time, like a quiet moment of joy before the day unfolds. There’s something hopeful about knowing a place like this exists—somewhere that delivers warmth, flavor, and comfort so effortlessly. Huong’s Sandwiches isn’t just the best lemongrass tofu I’ve ever had; it’s a reminder that little routines, good food, and simple pleasures can carry us forward, one really good sandwich at a time.

They haven’t really change up the place the last time I came here besides the menu, which they try to make it more aesthetic. However, it didn’t match the atmosphere of the place since it’s still too simple. They do make sandwiches fast, but the issue is that they have to rush the service. The cashier was trying to take my order and serve the lady food at the same time, which is quite awkward. I suggest having another employee to take care of either role. Otherwise, the sandwiches are good though, but I wanted to get the BBQ chicken but they’re out of it sadly.

This is one of my favorite places to get Banh mi’s! I usually get the Dac biet #6 or grilled pork #9 and an order of the fresh spring rolls. Sandwiches are a good size and come loaded with fresh pickled carrots and daikon. French baguette is freshly toasted. They also have an assortment of deli food as well such as noodles, fried rice , chicken and also to go plates such as vermicelli with pork, summer rolls, sticky rice with Chinese sausage(if avail). Bring cash or you can also Zelle the owner.

Great take out only place for Banh Mi, shrimp spring rolls, and egg rolls. Longer waits at lunch time and closed on Wednesdays. Cash only but they do take Zelle.

There's a steam table with other hot foods like egg rolls, noodles, Sesame balls with mung bean. They also make fresh spring rolls, yogurt, various desserts and lots of drink choices. Try it, you be happy you did. And of course, support a small business!
