Great stock and great customer service! I am so grateful to Independent Life Medical Supplies for making having a broken ankle so much easier. I rented a knee scooter (so much better than buying one, waiting for it to be delivered, putting it together, and later finding somewhere to store it in my small house. More economical, too). They helped me learn to use it and even put it in the car for me. I was also able to get an orthopedic boot that was much more comfortable than urgent care supplied. They helped me find the right size. I also noticed that they have many of the supplies I will need soon for my mother-in-law’s healthcare. I like being able to get everything I need from one place.

I would like to highly recommend the company: Independent Life Medical Supplies in Berkeley, CA at 2036 Blake St, 94704. I needed to buy medical equipment for an ankle replacement so that I could get around, being unable to walk. I bought a wheelchair, a kneeler, and a walker and used them for a few months while I was recovering from the replacement. Once I no longer needed the wheelchair, I realized that what I WOULD need permanently was a rollator, a device that would help me walk long distances. It cost as much as the wheelchair which I no longer needed. The managers of THIS great company worked out a deal for me where I was able to trade the now used wheelchair for a brand NEW rollator, at NO cost to me, at a time when I could NOT have afforded to buy that rollator. They GAVE me the rollator in an even trade for the excellent and latest model, USED wheelchair! They did this for me out of pure kindness, many months ago, and I am able to and continuing to use that rollator to get around Berkeley by walking with the rollator, and walking much further than I would have been able to WITHOUT it. It's provided exceptional means for exercise by using the rollator on long walks, something I could NOT have been able to do without it! What they did for me out of pure kindness and concern for my well being is unheard of in the business world! I am immensely grateful that I chose this family run company to provide the medical equipment I needed. They are kind and caring people and for that, I will be forever grateful! Review by Norman B. I found them to be very helpful and kind people. Raline spent quite a bit of time showing and demonstrating the various options for rollaters/walkers. There is a parking lot next to the building so you can avoid looking for street parking. I recommend Independent Life :)

My wheelchair has been broken multiple times by the airlines, and it is always a hassle to get it fixed. I feel very lucky to have found. Ian at Independent Life who is extremely knowledgeable and timely. He understand how important it is to get. my wheelchair fixed ASAP and done right. I fly a little easier knowing Ian is there if it gets broken again.
