John's Automotive Care in El Cajon is absolutely the best! Justin, Matthew, and the entire crew are honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind people. I'm very happy with the work that's been done to my Jeep, and highly recommend this shop. If you're looking for reliable and trustworthy mechanics this is the place to go to! From start to finish they make sure that everything is explained to you in a way you can easily understand it. They send over pictures of what they recommend needs to be done in a detailed report, and let you know if something isn't necessary just yet. They also stand by their warranties, and never make you feel like an inconvenience. We all know what it's like to dread going to the mechanic, and I can definitely say it's the polar opposite going here. This is by far the most welcoming shop I've been to, and they truly care about their customers here. They really do go above and beyond, and I'm incredibly grateful for the work the team has done. Justin, the manager, is a true professional and a scholar. I was completely unable to diagnose the issue with my Chevy, and he had me back up and running in under 48 hours. If you’re looking for real expertise paired with prompt, no-nonsense service, this is absolutely the place to take your vehicle. Give Justin a raise. Seriously. An incredible experience working with him—can’t shower him with gifts, but I can absolutely shower him with praise. Highly recommend!

I called in for an alignment on some recently installed tires for my wife’s car, Matthew was very prompt and quick to get me scheduled, upon arrival everything was smooth to check in, they completed everything to a T especially within the timeframe given. Closing out and paying was easy as well, no hidden costs and upfront pricing. 100% found our new shop for anything moving forward, guys are super trustworthy and excellent at what they do. Being a Senior citizen new to the area I needed to find a mechanic that would listen and discuss my problems with my car in a language I could understand. My husband is a retired mechanic for LAPD and always did whatever my car needed. Now Im on my own. I read the reviews for John’s Automotive, talked to the workers and felt very comfortable with their expertise. They did an excellent job letting me know what needed to be done now for safety reasons and what could be done now or later and let me decide. I am now a forever customer. The detailed printout explaining what they did and why was an unexpected bonus. I have returned three times for sudden minor problems and they happily fixed them two at no charge and always at my convenience. They are an excellent service for anyone in need of an honest mechanic. Once again I needed Johns Automotive for routine maintenance and an airbag alert on my dash for my 2008 Nissan Rogue - they not only fixed that and replaced the battery in my remote but gave me back a bright clean vehicle which meant a lot to me. Great experience! Justin was super responsive. I was able to get a same day appointment and a thorough inspection. I feel like they really go above and beyond here from providing me with a full digital inspection report that includes pictures and prioritizes repair needs, to the little things like offering beverages in the waiting room and holding the door for customers. Highly recommend.
