K Soho salon

My experience at K Soho Salon in Tampa, FL was extremely disappointing. The first photo is the inspiration photo I showed my stylist, Elle. In fact, I showed her 3–4 different photos of the bright blonde color I was hoping to achieve. The fourth photo was my hair before the appointment. My goal was simple: touch up my roots and brighten the rest of my hair. During the consultation, Elle explained that a full highlight might be necessary to lighten some of the darker pieces in the back, and I agreed. She also mentioned that I would receive a $50 first-time client discount. To be fair, Elle was very kind, welcoming, and pleasant throughout the appointment. However, after spending six hours in the salon, I was shocked by the final result. As she was blow-drying my hair, she reassured me that the salon lighting was different and that the color would appear much brighter in natural sunlight. Unfortunately, once I left the salon and saw my hair outside, it was clear that the result was not the bright blonde color I had requested. In fact, my hair appeared darker than before. Considering the amount of time and money invested, I was extremely upset. I reached out to Elle and explained that I was unhappy with the color and wanted to have it corrected. I also contacted the salon owner to discuss the situation and request a refund. During that conversation, he stated, “We get a lot of phone calls like these,” which immediately raised concerns for me. Rather than addressing my concerns or taking accountability, the salon was unwilling to offer a refund. They said I had to come back in but unfortunately with my busy schedule I was unable too the next day. What upset me even more was the condition of my hair after the appointment. Beyond not achieving the color I requested, I experienced noticeable breakage, excessive shedding, and damage to the overall health of my hair. I could also clearly see harsh foil lines throughout my highlights. As someone who takes great care of my hair, this was incredibly frustrating and concerning. To make matters worse, the stylist eventually blocked me, despite the fact that I never attacked her personally or spoke negatively about her character. My concerns were solely about the outcome of my hair, the amount of time spent in the salon, and the damage that resulted from the service. Based on my experience, I DO NOT recommend K Soho Salon!!!! Especially for anyone who is already blonde or looking to maintain a bright blonde color. I left with a darker color than what I requested, visible foil lines, and significant breakage that impacted the health of my hair. For the amount of money charged and the promises made during the consultation, the final result fell far below expectations.

I cannot rave enough about Nicki. I walked in with botched hair and I left so happy and back to what I wanted.
