KJ Produce Market

I just moved to the Inner Sunset and one of the first things I looked for was a solid neighborhood market — and I’m so glad I found KJ Produce Market. Since moving in, this has already become part of my weekly routine. I’ll stop in a few times a week to grab fresh produce (the apples and greens always look great), yogurt, eggs, and whatever fruit is in season. It’s the kind of place where you can run in for “just one thing” and end up picking up berries, fresh herbs, and a drink for later. I love how organized everything is — the dairy section is easy to shop, the shelves are well stocked, and there’s a good mix of everyday essentials and interesting specialty items. It doesn’t feel overwhelming like a big chain store, but it has way more than you expect. What I appreciate most is how convenient it is for quick neighborhood shopping patterns. Morning coffee and fruit, midweek restock of veggies and milk, or grabbing something fresh for dinner — it just fits into daily life here. It really feels like a true community market. As someone new to the area, it’s nice to already have a local spot I can rely on.

Came in for two lemons. Walked out with lemons, organic eggs, kale, fresh basil, raspberries, parmesan, crushed tomatoes… and a salted caramel chocolate I absolutely didn’t need. My splurge hehe Classic KJ Produce trip. I’ve lived in the Inner Sunset forever and since the new owners I’ve started shopping here more and more now not only this spot gets me every timetheir Produce is always solid, shelves are low-key dangerous (in a good way), and it’s just easy to pop in and actually find what you need. If you live nearby, you already know the struggle. Can’t leave without buying one treat

What can I say about this place? It is THE neighborhood spot, always there for us and stocked with everything one could need. This market really stands out for the quality and abundance of its produce, you can reliably find fresh, well-stocked options that feel thoughtfully chosen rather than random. It’s the kind of place where you can get exactly the ingredients you're looking for and almost always leave with a few extras you just can't pass up on. Yaya and his family run the store, and what makes it special is how present and attentive they are. They are checking in with customers, asking what people need, and genuinely listening. If something isn’t on the shelves, he’ll remember it and make a real effort to stock it. It shows his industriousness and attentiveness to creating more than a market, but a place where you will feel welcome. Thats the real joy of the place - a real sense that the store is shaped by and exists for the community. They operate it with curiosity, care, and a clear love for the neighborhood. It never feels transactional. it feels like they’re building something with and for the people who come in every day. Please visit, you wont regret it.

The best spot for groceries and produce on Irving. They take care of everyone in the community and have great products, organic and just solid overall on all aspects of groceries and daily needs.

K&j market impressed me the moment I walked in! I was on the hunt for sourdough rounds and the owner Yahya lead me straight to the bread section where I was thoroughly amazed at the amount of options on the shelf! All around great store with great prices! I’m thankful I can rely on K&j in the future.
