At around 7:30pm, most of the pastries were gone from self-serve area. There's a buy one get one after 7pm promotion. My picks were mango croissant $7.50 and kouign aman $6.50. These tasted OK. A bit too sweet for me as I'm not into sweet stuff. Service was friendly and quick as there weren't any other customers.

I wanted to love this bakery. The workers were attentive and nice. We tried the pastries and coffee a few weeks back. They're fun flavors but nothing that impressed me enough to come back for them. I tried the Strawberry cake recently and just wasn't a fan. It was $38 for a small cake, 2 white sponge filled with strawberries and fresh whipped cream. Cake was very dry and just a little too sweet for my taste. Maybe they should focus on less items.

The staff did not have a care in the world about their customers or their job. Upon entry, the setup was similar to a Paris Baguette except the specialty items were behind a display where assistance was required. Except they were lacking in assistance, there was no greeting, recommendations or promotion...not a good start. When I was in line, I waited for a good 2-3 minutes before getting help from a girl that stood the furthest from all the other employees. There was an older man across from me fixing the pastries on display and a younger man, which was also in front of me, just observing and trying to help him. If they were attentive or cared enough, they could have flagged someone down to help me. From entering the bakery to waiting in line, there was an emotionless girl transferring one item at a time from the bake rack to the display case with her hands. She was literally bringing it one by one, not sure if she was trying to kill time but it was only 10am on a Thursday. Girl..... you got a long way to go. There was also a tray of half eaten pastries and an unfinished coffee just sitting on the platform with other baked goods that no one thought to clean up. The pastries behind the display all looked pretty pretty, the cakes not so much. Looked great in photos, tasted average. The strawberry croissants was soft and was just filled with lightly sweetened whip cream, nothing special. The honey cream cheese was a boule with honey and a block of cream cheese. Would have been better if the cream cheese was spread along inside with the honey instead of just a block in the center. For what it is, each item was pretty pricey. $7.50 for a strawberry croissants filled with whip cream? After the girl boxed up my items, she offered a bag, which did not fit the box. So after everything was bagged up, the boxes were tilted and everything toppled to one side, including all the items with a cream filling. I quickly grabbed it sideways so the cream wouldn't spread to all the other pastries. In terms of service, price and quality, I have had better. Reading some reviews, it seems like they have different items churning out from time to time so if I'm ever at kukje, I would check it out again.

**UPDATE: I tried the quiche, and they were good! Limited quantities. Saturday morning 🌄, and it was busy! The store layout and design is nice, and the traffic flows smoothly. They have tons of bakery items to choose from. I had the twice-baked almond croissant, and there was a lot of almond paste inside. I wish I asked to warm it up, because it wouldn't been softer and moist. The seating area is to the left once you enter, and it wasn't hard to get a seat.

We visited the bakery during the soft opening 4/29/2026. The facility is very clean-- good atmosphere overall. The service was okay, we couldn't find the staff for a few minutes to place our orders eventhough there was no one waiting in line, but once we did, we ordered 1 corn bread, 1 creme brulee donut, and 1 mocha donut-- $15 total for 3 pieces of baked goods, a bit over priced. The food was less than okay, the corn bread didnt taste like corn bread at all, first i thing tasted was the egg wash that was brushed on top and was pretty dry, the mocha donut was actually pretty good, and the creme brulee was very oily. I can't say i recommend this place-- plenty of better bakeries near the area, but i guess it's worth a try.
