La Salon by GG

I booked this salon after seeing their promotion on Instagram because I really liked their hair color and styling work. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed because the results were not what I asked for. I’ll be sharing the inspiration photo I showed them, along with the color and haircut I actually received. The staff seemed short-handed and rushed throughout the appointment. The color technique felt unclear and was not explained to me—I wasn’t informed whether bleach would be used or not. When I asked if I would get the same color as my reference, I was reassured, but the final result looks uneven and not professionally done. The haircut also did not turn out as expected. Additionally, the salon did not feel very clean, and the handling of my hair was rough and uncomfortable. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations.

I am updating my review to show they have yet still not reached out or apologized as of 2/19. I had been originally stood up for my consultation on 2/12 a La Salon GG. I showed up to an empty salon and contacted the owner ( Guillermo Garcia) right away. He apologized, said there was an emergency. I let it slide as things happen. They rescheduled my appointment for a few hours later. I showed up for my consult.Everything was fine and we confirmed my appointment for the following Tuesday 2/17. I showed up on time at 10:30 am. The salon was not even open yet. Some ladies showed up told me that Guillermo was on his way so I waited. In this time, the ladies, let me sit in the salon and wait for him. While there they did speak with him on the phone in front of me stating there was a white girl waiting for him since 10:30 and even told him to check the cameras. So he knew I was there. After an hour, I finally asked is he still coming and if so when. The ladies said I need to contact him like it's not their problem. So they knew this guy wasn't coming and made me wait like a dummy. They all work at the same salon.The only number that is available is the salon's number or the salons business social media pages. So I called, he ignored my phone call and all my messages. This business is a joke. They do not care about your time. Actively online and ignoring someone you set an appointment up with is completely rude and disrespectful. I'm not even worth an apology. Their business page says - You deserve the best! Maybe only people they see fit to serve. Sadly, I took it personal. I get my hair done once a year and I was scared to go somewhere new as I've had such bad luck in general, getting my hair done. But I set aside my busy schedule all for this. This place should not be in business if thats how they want to treat customers.

Not a color correction specialist like what I googled when I found him, but if I needed a highlight he would have been perfect. Fast, great placement, nice salon, but I went for a color correction and he did a normal highlight and toner but charged me for a correction and fried all my hair off. He put it in the foil then left me for an hour without even checking it. I started to panic but they said it would be okay. After he acted like he didn’t know I just did all that that needed to be corrected 2 days ago (I put it in the message when booking the appointment) but maybe he didn’t because he’d ask a question but not be interested in the answer so conversation was pointless. It’s partially my fault because I knew the foils were in too long and didn’t say anything but I also thought he knew what he was doing. Maybe color correction isn’t his thing.

Do not go to this salon or trust your hair with any of the people at this salon! I had an appointment with Guillermo and he let his assistant handle some of the processing of my hair. It came out nothing as I expected. He completely ignored anything I asked for. I went back to get it fixed and he said there wasn’t much he could do to come back in a couple of months.

Ruined my hair! I have been here before and he did a great job but highlight techniques are out of date and DEFINITELY does not know how to blend and match color! I paid to get my blonde hair ruined. I asked to blend my darker roots with my blonde. I asked for a cut and even that was ruined. I was double booked and I know that doesn't help. Can't focus on one client when trying to juggle two and rush. On top of that he yanks your dam hair out!!! If you are tender headed be prepared to FIGHT. I'm not a tender head and I STRUGGLED. My gut was saying things is going to be bad but i didn't listen. Followed thru and now I will just need to go back dark. My blonde is ruined.When asking about correction I got no where. His response was " I will take your advice into account, sorry. " Do not waste your time or money here. It's getting harder and harder to find somebody good.
