I recently heard of this restaurant from a friend who said they have fresh noodle so as a Vietnamese foodie I have to check them out. Love it! Southern style pho! My go to is this beef pho with beef balls. And a Vietnamese coffee. Nothing beats this combo. And all the stuffs speak Vietnamese to me so i feel like at home :) I keep coming back almost every weekend now. If you like fresh noodle, make sure you come before 7pm or something because they run out of it pretty fast esp when it’s cold.

This place has a very pretty interior. The glass pendant lights are beautiful! The aesthetics and decor draws you into the place as well as all the positive reviews. After having eaten there I believe many of the reviews were based on people who are used to a more Americanized palette. I ordered the pork chops with rice. It came in 3 very thin pieces of pork. It was super sweet and was definitely not authentic. The sauce that came with it was also super sweet. Although the plating was visually nice, the pork chops were probably the worst and most overpriced Vietnamese food I have ever eaten! If you want authentic Vietnamese cuisine, I would not recommend this place at all!!

This morning, I tried LeQuy and it felt just like being in Vietnam. I enjoyed a relaxed brunch with egg coffee and salt coffee, both rich and flavorful. The phở came in a hot pot, staying warm till the last bite. I also had bánh mì chảo, which was delicious. The service was great and they accept Apple Pay and credit cards. Definitely worth a visit!

Phenomenal and friendly service with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything about this place is great. The food is amazing, made with fresh ingredients. We got the Yellow Curry and Wagyu Pho, both of which were 10/10. I didn't realize that I was such a pho person until I had LeQuy's. Dare I say best I've had?

Why is everyone in a hurry to serve and get people out of there fast when the restaurant is almost empty? That's the first thing and the main thing that was not very good at all here. I had gone before at lunch time and ordered the same chicken pho. I did not feel rushed that time. The pho is very good, a full broth that was rich and tasty. My partner ordered the shrimp pho. She was not pleased at all. The shrimp was flavorless (frozen, but I understand that, many restaurants use frozen shrimp). But the broth had absolutely no shrimp flavor at all. Turns out the broth was chicken broth as (as the waiter told us) they had run out of "flavoring" for the shrimp broth. The basic spring rolls were very good, crunchy, a nice peanut dipping sauce. Nothing special, but very nice. But the service: They want to bring everything AT ONCE. My partner saw this as she could see the kitchen. We told them please wait until we are done with the spring rolls before bringing the pho. Next: Seems they could barely stand waiting, came back before my partner was finished with the spring rolls and the waiter said, almost emphatically like it was an emergency, "can I bring the pho now?" so yes, bring it, relax, dude. Then, as almost as fast as possible, not even as soon as we were done, the other server, she with a very gloomy look on her face all the time, who actually stared at my partner watching her eat, ready to jump to remove her bowl (!!!), was there to remove and of course, bring the bill and put it between us instead of on the side while we were still eating. Really, the service was basically "We want to get you in and out NOW LEAVE" attitude. I brought my partner there for her birthday because I liked the pho at lunch when I went a few months before with a friend, and was very disappointed. This is Noe Valley, I live in the neighborhood and this should have a more neighborhood vibe. Instead, they seemed to just want to get people in and out as fast as possible, busy or not, and should have mentioned the lack of a seafood broth for a shrimp pho. There are many Vietnamese options with far better service in SF.
