Just go! Best sandwiches in the bay. Every time we are in the city we always try and make time for this spot. The line can be a bit long at times and you can also order online for pickup but no matter which way you choose the sandwich is definitely worth it. We stick with the hot bird special sandwich 🥪 and normally share it. I'm glad they cut it half for you since it's packed full of flavor. I'm taking about juicy tender meat, lip-smacking garlic sauce enclosed inside of a Dutch crunch roll (man I'm Hungry). You won't be disappointed.

This sandwich was absolutely amazing — fresh bread, juicy meat, melted cheese, and perfectly balanced flavors. Every bite was packed with flavor and tasted homemade. Definitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve had lately. Highly recommend!

When was the last time I had? A sandwich like this before definitely going back this time. This small sandwich shops serve some of the best sandwiches in the Bay Area and it’s a local cult favorite with a long line waiting outside. I had the sourdough bread with Sausalito turkey with provolone. They use a special garlic sauce, mustard, and mayo that goes very well altogether. The veggies are very fresh too. The weight of just one sandwich is impressively heavy. Definitely a place to come back to for good sandwiches. Unfortunately, there isn’t really a place to sit. You would need to take it to go.

Been coming here since it first opened in 1980. Best sandwich in the country. There cannot be one that tastes better than this. Dutch crunch, garlic sauce, quality and portion of the bread and meat are outstanding! I always go for the Roast Beef. Their Salami is also really good. Piece of advice from this veteran: Small place and high demand so either go off peak like early AM or after lunch around 2 to order in person or call in during peak for pick-up.
