Methodist Cardiovascular Consultants - Richardson

For disclaimer I am not reviewing the Dr. Kabach or his services as its only cost me $248 but, i am reviewing the Methodist Cardiovascular center. Did you know that You got charge for 2 different amount for same purpose. One for actual visit and consultancy and two for using the facilities and machines. Dr. Kabach office visit will costs me in total of $1,273.00+$268. Out of this $1273 is the charges for using the building including waiting room, the AC, the clipboard, the pen, the weighing scale, the blood pressure machine, the chair(s), the ecg machine, Dr. Kabach's time. In addition to that did you know that they can charge you as visit charges since you entered the waiting room till you exit the waiting room. It means they can ask you to wait more so they can charge more to your insurance and in return your insurance will charge you back. I got bill for total of $536 after insurance. I called billing department for Methodist and they told me I have agreed to pay for this charges already. Methodist is making money this way. $1273 for Cardiovascular appointment?? I would rather go to non profit or other Cardiovascular doctor than to go to Methodist.

Patients Beware! This clinic will bill you as if you are receiving outpatient care at Methodist Hospital even though you have a regularly scheduled doctor's visit. What that means is that you will face an astronomical bill for any "tests/procedures, supplies, or medications used during the visit" and they won't tell you how much or which supplies and tests count! If you have a deductible, they will come for it. I am insured and in network. I attended two appointments with Dr. Asad Mohmand for which my insurance paid its portion and I received two surprise bills totaling $900"! The ostensible reason was the EKG that was administered as part of their routine prep for the meeting with the doctor. It was literally three steps- weight, blood pressure cuff, EKG. No one mentioned that they would send me a bill of $449 for each EKG. The sad part is Dr. Mohmand prescribed medication that I can't take because of the side effects. I have spent countless hours on the phone trying to get this resolved. Sue, the office manager, ducks my calls and visits. I was not provided a survey to deliver feedback to the doctor or nurses. This is a dishonest practice. Hypertension kills people when it is untreated. It should not cost $1000 for an insured person to get blood pressure pills.

Do your research before you go here, they are NOT a Dr's office. They are a parent company of Methodist Emergency Room. I got referred to here from the ER. They will not treat you like a patient at a Dr office. I got the same care as I would in ER except by appointment. No one would even call me to explain my results. They even billed me as an ER visit when it was setup as a Dr's appointment follow-up for a previous ER visit! Another insurance scam.

Among the best experiences for a medical provider you can get! I asked for a new quicker visit date and was granted it graciously. When I got to the office, I was seen almost immediately. The doctor gave me all the time that I needed and set me up for the exams he wanted me to have. What more could anyone ask?

I always enjoy my visits with Dr Mohmand. He’s knowledgeable, attentive, and truly cares about his patients. I appreciate him so much that I referred my father to him, and we both have great experiences.
