There seems to be only one person working but she knows how to cut your hair and make you look good. Make sure to call in advance to set up your appointment. This place is excellent for oriental customers.

I have been to Miki Hair Studio two or three times. The haircuts themselves were just okay, neither great nor terrible. I am Korean-American and have been getting haircuts from Korean stylists for over a decade, so I might have high expectations. What really disappointed me was the overall experience and attitude. When I called and spoke Korean, she was surprisingly rude right from the start. She constantly ordered me around (“Go sit over there,” “Do this”) and physically pushed my head with force instead of politely asking me to move. On top of that, she immediately used 반말 (casual/informal speech) the whole time, which felt very disrespectful in a customer-service setting. When I gently suggested that she doesn’t show up well in Google reviews, she immediately blamed it on others and told me, “Just go to the Korean supermarket and ask around for recommendations.” It gave the impression she doesn’t want to hear any feedback or improve. She also runs a side business selling Korean products inside the salon, which felt distracting. There is an entire shelf of it and I have witnessed people selling the products to customers. The place itself looks a bit messy and unprofessional, a TV hooked up to a computer, a sofa facing the wrong way, random chairs, etc. It honestly seemed like she’s not 100% focused on the hair business and is hedging with other things. She was also completely inflexible with scheduling. When I asked about certain hours, she just said “no” and told me to “call back when you actually know what time you can come.” Other Korean salons I’ve been to are happy to take a last customer at 4:45 or 5:00 if they close at 5. Here it felt like she didn’t really want to work or talk to me. On my first visit she even joked that I “looked Chinese” and that I was “funny.” After the second cut she said it would “take time to shape my head,” but on the visit when I asked if it was getting better, she said nothing. So she made fun of my hair but couldn’t actually fix it after multiple tries. I understand everyone has off days, but overall I didn’t feel treated like a valued customer. The service felt clunky, pessimistic, and lacking any real care or system. Unfortunately it’s a bit depressing here.

I don’t recommend this place. This place is dirty. There were hairs all over the chair and floor. She doesn’t clean in between clients. I should had walked out immediately. I didn’t like the haircut either. It was a waste of my time and money. I definitely won’t be going back. Those 5 star reviews she has are so misleading. Go somewhere else. This place smells bad.

I asked for a haircut and it was short and i had a reference photo, she went with it and decided to use that photo and make it fit my face and it looks much better than the photo, i absolutely love it i’ve been looking somebody to do my hair the way i want it.
