Miniso is one of our favorite stores to visit, especially for my daughter who absolutely loves it. The shop is bright, well-organized, and always stocked with a wide variety of cute and affordable Japanese-inspired products. From stationery and toys to home essentials and beauty items, everything feels thoughtfully designed and fun to browse. What I like most is how easy it is to find small gifts or useful everyday items without spending too much. The quality is always good for the price, and the staff is usually friendly and helpful. Every time we come here, my daughter gets excited to explore the new collections and seasonal items. It’s definitely a store we enjoy visiting regularly.

Quite possibly had the worst experience with the store went from good to bad. Had a birthday gift reward that was valued up to $25. We had picked out two different blind gifts one costed $15.99 and one costed $14.99. We had asked the cashier if we could combine two into the same bday reward. She had told us yes and that we would pay the remaining difference of the two after the $25 reward taken off, and we proceeded to use our code. Then we had noticed the price was still 17 after, meaning the combination did not work. We told her to just take off one and then use the bday reward on the other one. She had told us that she cannot go back and we wouldn’t get the bday reward back if she did that. So we just decided to buy it and then figured we would return it immediately after checkout. But then when we had asked to return it, SHE SAID WE CANNOT since it’s a blind box and that policy says they cannot. We asked to see the policy and nowhere did it say that. When we asked her she had told us an old manager said they can’t take them back. (She also told us she is the current manager) in the end she did not take our return because she said “I cannot verify that it’s unopened” even though we had just bought it. Absolutely ridiculous, legally we should be able to return it. Stated in the return policy. Honestly upsetting since we drove out there for this birthday reward.

I had a birthday reward for a $25 value, so I went into the store and had picked out two blind boxes (one priced at 14.99 and one priced at 15.99) and went up to the cashier to pay. I had asked the cashier if she was able to ring up two blind boxes for the $25 reward and she responded with “yes I can ring up two for the blind box and then you pay the difference”. I go to pay and it comes out to be $17.31, i ask to go back so I can just have the free blind box value, and the cashier says she can’t go back due to already scanning the reward and saying she will not be able to do anything, even though she’s manager, and that my birthday reward won’t be void, so I end up having to pay the full total even though she told me i’d by the difference (which should’ve been around $6-7). After buying, I ask her to return the box since it was a high price for me to pay, and she says “Due to my old managers policy, I won’t be able to return blind boxes” even though I JUST bought the items AND it’s unopened. The miniso legal return policy says that you can return within 7 days, at the original store, and if it’s unopened. I even asked her to see the return policy and read it out-loud to show that I am allowed a return for my items. The item was just bought so i showed her and another employee it was fully unopened, and she still denied a return. So now, She went against store policy and I am unable to do a return even with clear evidence that I am allowed to. I am highly disgruntled and upset considering it was my birthday gift, and for the fact the employee went against store policy and made it truly difficult to go about this purchase. Saying “i’m unable to verify the boxes are unopened” when I just bought it and showed the full seal and nothing has been tampered with is unacceptable. The label for the cashier at the grapevine TX location is US8202. She did not declare before I bought the boxes that she cannot do returns for my items or that it won’t be able to be combined for my birthday value reward, therefore leaving me to pay over the difference of the two blind boxes which should’ve been around $6-7 if applied like the cashier told me, not $17.31. The aftermath of this is honestly truly upsetting and was not dealt with appropriately. it very clearly states that you CAN return. especially if i bought it and decided to return within 5 literal minutes. As well as it’s 10000% clear, if i JUST picked it off the shelf to buy and am still standing in front of you, that the boxes are unopened and in seal. Take a look for half a second and you’ll see it. The worst service ever.

I was a tad bit disappointed with Daiso, but this place lived up to the hype. Lots of really cool Japanese things. The Google Map never mentioned it was in a mall. I had to ask the Vans shop where this place was located. Friendly staff, plenty of things to see, it got a bit overwhelming for me, but my daughter loved it.

Miniso is such a cute store! They have a wide variety of plushies, mystery boxes, figures, makeup, keychains, cups, pens, and many more items! Definitely, a store where you can spend a lot of time just by browsing. Most of the things were decently priced but I can imagine someone spending more than $40. I recommend Miniso overall!
