Modern Salon

I have been a loyal client of this salon for approximately five years, visiting every 10 weeks for highlights and a haircut. Because of that history, what happened on Saturday was especially disappointing. During my appointment, the salon owner’s mood and behavior toward me were unacceptable. He has always been somewhat abrasive toward me, and I have often tried to avoid interactions with him. Saturday was the final straw. During my appointment, he spoke to me in a rude and belittling manner, which led me to calmly ask to be left alone and set a boundary. Instead of respecting that request, he returned and yelled at me in front of other clients and staff. The yelling continued for several minutes. I remained calm throughout the interaction, but I was embarrassed and shocked by how the situation was handled. I was concerned for my safety the remaining of the appointment. After years of being a loyal customer, I never expected to be treated in that manner. Professionalism and respectful communication should be the standard, regardless of what may be happening personally or professionally behind the scenes. As a result of this experience, I will no longer be supporting this business or its owner. The lack of professionalism, respect, my safety and the lack of accountability displayed during this interaction was deeply disappointing and does not reflect the level of service I expect from a business I have supported for many years. I have decided, unfortunately, to find a new salon. I will genuinely miss my hairstylists, Helen and Nina, who have always treated me with kindness and professionalism. They are talented, caring, and were a major reason I remained a loyal client for so many years. I wish both of them nothing but success and happiness moving forward.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this salon! I actually used them before I moved, and making the 1 1/2 hour drive one way to come back was absolutely worth it. That alone should tell you how good they are. From the moment I walked in, I felt taken care of. Long and his beautiful wife are truly incredible—so kind, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do. What stood out the most to me was how much time and care they put into my hair. They didn’t just rush through the process—they made sure to trim my hair properly and really focused on keeping it healthy, especially with the highlighting and coloring. You can tell they truly care about the integrity of your hair, not just the final look. My hair feels healthier, looks amazing, and I left feeling so confident. If you’re looking for a salon that prioritizes quality, care, and a great overall experience, this is the place. I’ll gladly keep making the drive!

Ive been coming here for 15 years. Love the staff, they are well knowledgeable on thier hairstyles and cuts. I just get cuts so they got me in and out in 30 minutes 👏🏼. Just know their seats fill up fast and coloring, highlights, etc will take time and they will fit you in just be patient and they will take care of you. Get with Long, Nina, Sue, Tammy, Helen.. Oh gosh my fam have probably had most of the staff work on thier hair and we WILL drive 20 miles to be seated. Yall are awesome 👌🏼
