If you care about your engine, your time, or your money—take it somewhere else. I brought my engine block, cylinder head, pistons, crankshaft, and camshaft to Texon Motor Center on March 12. Nearly a month later, on April 8, I got my parts back in worse condition than when I dropped them off—along with someone else’s parts thrown in. I paid over $1,200 for a bore and hone, one sleeve, a valve job, and a block cleaning. Every single part of that work had problems. The block was completely rusted on the outside. Coolant jackets were corroded—some still had dried coolant residue—and the oil passages were rusted. None of the coolant plugs had been replaced. The cylinder walls had visible pitting and rust protrusions, which should never be present after a fresh bore and hone, especially from a shop I trusted to handle precision machine work. The head looked clean at first—until I realized it had just been hastily sprayed with black paint, likely the same day I picked it up. The paint was still wet and running in several areas, including inside the exhaust ports. It didn’t look like machine work—it looked like someone trying to make it “look” done. I made the 2.5-hour round trip twice, expecting to receive properly machined and cared-for parts. Instead, I got a sloppy job, parts from someone else’s engine, and a lot of excuses. When I called, the tech told me the rust likely happened because the block was “sitting on the ground.” That comment alone showed me there’s no rust prevention going on in the shop—no dehumidifier, no engine racks, no effort to preserve the integrity of customer property. The person on the phone wasn’t outright rude, but his tone made it very clear that he didn’t care. After spending my time, money, and effort, that lack of care was the final straw. I don’t leave reviews like this lightly, but this experience left me with rusted, poorly handled parts, and no accountability. I hope this review reaches Texon’s leadership—especially the CEO—because the level of service I received was completely unacceptable you have to have better quality control than this. I expect a response.

Fantastic! Came in and dropped off my unicorn Toyota V6. Within 24 hours engine was stripped down and complete overhaul recommended. 8 days later picked it up and installed in my FJ cruiser. Runs great and no issues after 500 miles. The entire team at Texon knows engine rebuilds. Experts! 100% recommend.

⭐ 1 Star I had an engine rebuilt by Texon Motors Engine Rebuilders. At the time I picked it up, everything seemed fine. About a year later—when my mechanic finally began installing and assembling the engine—he caught a serious issue just in time. Several internal oil passages/ports were not properly aligned, which would have prevented oil from flowing correctly through the engine. I’m not a mechanic, but my mechanic clearly showed me how the passages were partially covered. Had he not caught this during final assembly, the engine could have failed catastrophically. Thankfully, it was caught before startup—but that doesn’t excuse the workmanship. An engine rebuild should never leave the shop with oil passages misaligned. That’s basic and critical. After reading other Google reviews, my experience lines up with what many others have said about the quality of work. On top of that, some of the staff were rude and dismissive—which is unnecessary when customers are trusting you with expensive engine work. Because of the workmanship issues and customer service attitude, I cannot recommend Texon Motors. My advice: take your engine elsewhere and save yourself the risk and frustration.

Had my engine rebuilt for 2500$ it came out wrong. Took it back they did they warranty and paid the mechanic for the second time to put it back in and it came out wrong again. Having to spend another 4k to just get a crate engine cause they don’t know how to do things right. And I don’t like to keep going back cause it’s embarrassing. That video is the second time they had fixed it and the new mechanic said the rings and internals were all wrong
