I wish I could give the 0 star , Today I want to honestly share my experience with New Look Skin Care in Irvine. I had a laser appointment scheduled for today, but earlier in the day I received a medical shot. Afterward, I remembered my appointment and immediately called my family doctor to ask if it was safe to continue with laser treatment. My doctor advised me that the shot could potentially cause dark pigmentation or skin sensitivity and recommended waiting at least a few days before doing laser treatment. As soon as I heard this, I called the clinic right away and explained the situation honestly because I did not want to risk my skin or health. Instead of understanding the medical concern, the staff immediately told me I would still have to pay 50% of the appointment fee, even though this was clearly a health-related issue and not simply a casual cancellation. What made this even more disappointing is that last year, after I got COVID and had to cancel appointments because I was genuinely sick, I was told that if I wanted to continue treatments at this clinic, I needed to start paying deposits upfront. I understood their policy at the time and respected it. However, there should also be understanding and flexibility when it comes to real medical situations and patient safety. Unfortunately, this was not my only negative experience here. Last year, one of the estheticians used the laser directly over a surgery scar even after I clearly told her not to touch that area. As a result, I suffered a burn that took almost three weeks to heal, and I even have medical documentation regarding the injury. I understand every business has policies, but customer care and patient safety should come before money. From my personal experience, I did not feel cared for as a client or patient. I felt that policies and payments mattered more than health concerns and communication. Because of these experiences, I personally would not recommend this clinic. Edited review 4:29 PS: Thank you again for taking the time to reply. However, I would like to clarify that the cancellations you mentioned were from 2 years ago, not recent situations. I fully understand and respect clinic policies, but this cancellation was due to a medical concern and an emergency after receiving a shot earlier that day. I was trying to protect my health and avoid possible complications, including dark pigmentation on my skin. What truly disappointed me was not only the policy itself, but the lack of empathy toward my concern. At the same time, while my cancellation history was reviewed in detail, my previous experience where I was burned during treatment last year and placed on antibiotics for weeks was never properly addressed. I chose not to escalate that situation at the time because I tried to be understanding. For me, this is about humanity, patient care, and how a business chooses to treat people during unexpected situations. Unfortunately, after these experiences, I will not be returning.

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a business. Me and wife called them and we agreed on a price and I drove all the way from San Diego and after the laser was done not even they didn’t honor the price we agreed on the phone they also told me to wait and I thought they way to give us a new offer but after 30 minutes they said that we listened to conversation our staff had with you and nothing about the price was mentioned. They charged me $180 for the one session which they said it’ll be about $125 and now I’m waiting for the owner to call me tomorrow. I’ll keep you posted…

I DO NOT recommend this clinic at all. I underwent laser treatment, but the result was that they disfigured me. My face has become severely damaged, and I cannot go out because of how it looks. They didn’t stop at my face—my entire body was affected. The nurse burned me. I called to file a complaint and informed them of what happened, but no one cared at all. They denied that the mistake was theirs, which is not true. I am certain that the equipment was not properly sterilized and that the nurse who performed the procedure did not have the necessary experience to know what is appropriate for each person. I do not recommend this place at all. It is a waste of money and causes harm. By the way, the nurse’s name is Nadia.

“I had a great experience at this medspa for my laser treatment. Nurse Rio was very knowledgeable, gentle, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. She explained everything clearly and made sure I was doing well during the treatment. The clinic itself was clean, professional, and welcoming. I highly recommend them to anyone considering laser treatments!” I will highly recommended Rio.

Rio is my nurse and she is absolutely amazing. She takes her time and pays attention to detail. She’s so gentle and kind! Amazing results. I’ve worked with other nurses but Rio is the best :))
