I’ve been with Nurse Next Door McLean since September 2025, and it has been a truly rewarding experience. Management is kind, approachable, and genuinely cares about both the clients and the staff. One of the things I’ve appreciated most is how much I’ve grown as a nurse. Home care has given me the opportunity to care for patients with complex conditions that I don’t often see in the hospital where I primarily work, including Marfan syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), primary immunodeficiency, oncology patients, patients receiving dialysis, and those requiring complex wound and ostomy care. Every client has taught me something new, and these experiences have made me a more confident, knowledgeable, and well-rounded nurse. Completed full knee replacement 2 weeks ago, after completing my commitment to Atif, my home care Physical Therapy Specialist, with him leading the way through regimented exercise. I have gone from a pain level 9 to a level 4 with general motion, and my at rest mode of level 1. My flexion has improved greatly from 70 deg. to 105 deg.. I am very satisfied with my successful advancement, I will continue my excersize to progress further.
