One Family Korean Restaurant

The food was good, but the service wasn’t. The younger woman checked on us several times, which was appreciated. However, the older woman spent most of the time talking with two women at another table and never came over to offer suggestions or ask if we needed anything. She only brought us the check near the end, without us asking for it.

A hole in the wall for authentic Korean food! We came here for the first time and loved everything we ordered. The ambiance is small, cozy, and intimate. I recommend arriving early to secure a table. We ordered: Kimchi Jjigae 10/10 - right amount of spice and very flavorful. It reminded me of one of the best Korean hot pots I've had. Highly recommend giving this a try. Japchae 9/10 - well balanced in flavor and served with lots of veggies. The only thing missing was the mushrooms. Galbi 9/10 - delicious and marinated very well. Had a nice char which gave the meat some texture. I expected a little more pieces for the price. Bulgolgi 8/10 - spot on and yummy! Service was good and we were checked on frequently. We'll be coming back for more!

Recently I had the pleasure of trying this gem of a restaurant for the first time. The service was great and the food was amazing. I started off with a special kimchi dumpling then opted for the seafood soft tofu stew. Everything was flavorful and delicious. I will definitely be back.

Food was okay. Not bad but also nothing extraordinary. Small restaurant and they decided to use one of the booths for employees' storage space instead of letting customers use it. What makes it a 3 stars for me is the service. The service was subpar. We even had to ask for chopsticks.

One day I came here to pick up a food order for Uber and the server was very nice and welcoming. She offered me a beverage while I waited. My wife loves Korean food and I was excited to take her. Another day I came with my wife. The food was great, however the customer service was extremely disappointing especially after the previous server was very accommodating. Firstly, we sat down at a table in the center. There were three open booth areas and only two other groups of customers upon arrival. We asked the server if we could sit at a booth and she said “order first and I’ll see based on how big your order is”. Which is understandable because they might be expecting on getting busy and the place isn’t that big. But when we ordered she never got back to us on moving. After being there, there were two other customers who came alone and one of them sat at the largest booth they had there. The whole time we were there, the booth we requested remained unoccupied. If this was the only complaint I would have not had any second thoughts, however, unfortunately this was only one of few instances of her poor customer service. Secondly, I ordered rice and beef (I don’t remember the name of the item), a Korean corn dog, and my wife ordered jajangmyeon. We never got the Korean corn dog we ordered. I’ve been wanting to try the Korean corn dog so it was disappointing for me. Lastly, the reason we never up right brought anything up to our server, was because she acted indifferent towards us. She never checked up on us the whole time; meanwhile, she was checking up on the people around us asking if everything was okay. Maybe it was the fact that we asked to move after first sitting down and it rubbed her the wrong way. The restaurant was not busy the entire time. She could chat up other customers but only talked to us to take our order. No other communication after that. I don’t know her name but our receipt said our server was “kk w”. I would consider coming back if I knew that server was not on shift at the time, unfortunately there’s no way to know that so we will not be coming back.
