Overseas Adventure Travel

We just returned from the Southern African Adventure and Pre-Trip to Entabeni Private Reserve. Words cannot fully describe the feeling of seeing the animals up close on our multiple game drives. The Pre-Trip immersive introduction to the wild kingdom of the Big Five animals (minus the leopard) and more was truly breathtaking. We saw the white rhino family, a heard of elephants, several giraffes, two cheetah (walking right by our vehicle out for a hunt), three male lions and a mama lion surrounding two white rhino considering their options for a possible meal, and much more! And that was just the Pre-Trip! Our guide, Dion Fabe, was with us the entire trip and made us feel welcome. He is from Cape Town originally and encouraged us to open our hearts and minds, to talk with the locals and to make the most of our experience! The main trip including visits to Victoria Falls, an elementary school, a home dinner, and small village tour visit in Zimbabwe and a white rhino sanctuary visit and local market tour in Zambia really gave you a taste of the culture of these areas. We also went to Kruger National Park to see our leopard (to complete the Big Five) and other wildlife, we even saw a hyena! We stayed in beautiful lodges with amazing staff whom we got to know on a personal level thanks to Dion’s charm and welcoming spirit. And we finally we made it to the southern most tip of South Africa and stayed in Stellenbosch and Cape Town. We highly recommend this OAT trip and were pleased from start to finish!

It was really exceptional the trip to the ancients silk route of Central Asia ...I thoroughly enjoyed the three ancient cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. Each of these cities are so magical in making you feel as part of a movie character of our legendary human history! Yes, I was able to honor to the people who stood up before me on Registan Square in Samarkand by wearing the traditional Uzbekistan robe! Everything in the daily itinerary was carried out to such perfection under the care of our tour leader, Alex, who consistently took a good care of us( 11 people ) but also went far beyond to make our experience unforgettable like procuring tickets to the ballet production on the last minute notice or getting reservation to the best restaurant overlooking the old century minaret in one of the old cities. I highly recommend doing this tour! It will be one of your treasured memories of a lifetime !

I have done 3 Trips with OAT; all of them exceptional. The first was Morocco; gorgeous. country, lovely people, great food, exceptional trip director. The second was Chile, Argentina Patagonia, beautiful landscapes, interesting cultures and histories, excellent food, exceptional trip director. Included in this was a pre trip to Easter Island. Big Wow! The third and recent trip was Scotland, Glasgow to Edinburgh, interesting history, beautiful nature walks, excellent food, exceptional trip director. I will continue to travel with OAT whose motto is “Learning and Discovery” A+ to that.

What a fantastic experience I had with Over Seas Adventure Travel! I just return home having spent 18 days (including two travel days) in Turkiye. The tour I took was “Turkeys Magical Hideaways”. Every day was a new adventure, an education, & absolutely amazing. Our travel guide was excellent, attentive, and kind. She added in a lot of interesting, fun stops along the way in addition to the itinerary, and worked diligently to insure our comfort and any special requests we had. I have been singing the praises of this company and the Beautiful people, & Country of Turkiye to all my friends. Not to mention the delicious food, & great accommodations. Every day on this tour was the “BEST DAY EVER”!!!

This was our first time traveling with OAT and I was not disappointed. The immersion into the daily culture of China was incredible. Not only did we hit all of the countries highlights (great wall, terracotta warriors, etc), we also had amazing back roads experiences (cooking class, home hosted dinner, fan painting, etc). The group size was perfect for getting to know people in the group yet being able to personalize our experience. The food experiences were substantial and highly varied by region. Our trip leader (Tina) was absolutely amazing! She was so knowledgeable, patient, and considerate that she made the trip a concierge cultural experience. Would absolutely recommend this tour.
