If you want an agency that will confuse who your loved one even is literally leading to a HIPAA Violation, frequently forgets info vital to the clients case, suggests that they will follow up on leads and then never does, fails to refer you to vital resources months after inquiring several times, and writes a care plan that totally ignores the basic day to day most frequent need of your loved one, then look no further than the agents at Pierce County aging and disability! The only single reason they are getting two stars is because I know they are massively underfunded and struggling. These guys are literally a waste of tax payer dollars but we are not going to get better for the time being.

I've had some moments still, it's all been worth it. The services and available resources in Pierce County are great and Kristina H. with DSSH A & D is wonderful. If you get her, you've hit the Jackpot!! She is a10 out of 10 for sure. She has made all the difference in my life as a disabled senior.

My interactions with this agency is not what I expected. I must admit that my initial expectations were totally unrealistic. The front line workers as well as management level workers were extremely supportive, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. What did I just say!!!! I actually mean what I have stated. I am so pleased to be able to say that. My first hand and feedback from others do confirm what I have stated. I want to thank all the employees at this location and give them high praise and a raise. Just kidding. I could not possibly afford to even offer my employees a higher salary. But if I could, I surely would. Thank You to all who have reshaped my thinking of Government Workers.

I live in Detroit, while my mom lives in Tacoma. There were so many programs I could have called. Instead the woman I spoke with here gave me a crustal clear idea of what services are (and are not) available in Pierce County. This was very helpful and saved me hours of my time. If you need information this is a GREAT place to start.
