Punk's Tacos & Bao

Punk's Tacos & Baos is a Mexican-Japanese fusion concept, and the décor reflects that with bright colors and cool art. The menu offers tacos, baos, and rice dishes. We tried several different items - the beef bulgogi, spicy pork belly, and fried ruby red shrimp baos, a Cholula fried chicken taco, and the Tejano fried rice. The baos were slightly disappointing. Each one was tiny, just slightly larger than a Chick‑fil‑A chicken mini. They were essentially two‑bite portions, which made them feel overpriced compared to the tacos. Of the three, the beef bulgogi bao was our favorite. The shrimp bao was decent, but the spicy pork bao was the least impressive. The taco, on the other hand, was a much better value. The Cholula fried chicken taco was very good - bold, flavorful, and decent size. The Tejano fried rice was also good - moist with a smoky flavor. The service was very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy in the free lot.

A smashing combination of world flavors in the chillest setting. From the moment you walk in, its a whole vibe. The staff is super cool, great customer service & beautifully arranged food. The flavors were so full! I never expected to like pickled ginger but paired with his hand breaded fried chicken - whew - one of a kind. The bacon fried rice is to DIE for. My favorite thing on the menu. And of course the Bao was PERFECT!

Please do yourself a favor and order something from this place! I ordered the beef bulgogi bao, spicy pork belly bao, smoked brisket taco, and lamb leg Al pastor taco. The quality and flavor are out of this world. Everything is cooked to perfection. Nothing was dry and everything was seasoned with way more than salt and pepper. I cannot wait to come back and try more

Amazing place to try some unique dishes. I tried the Grilled Mushroom and Spring Onion Bao, Spicy Pork Belly Bao, Cholula Fried Chicken Taco and the Cotilla Fries. I can't say enough positive things about the experience. The vibe in the place, the atmosphere, the staff, the food it stands out among other places in the area. They're still new, ( approximately 3 weeks up and running ) locally owned and operated. The combination of flavors had a depth of complexity that elevated the experience. The grilled mushroom had that nice meaty texture, the spring onion brightened it with it's pop of flavor. The togarashi aoli was new to me, it had a nice deep flavor to it that I can't describe as it was new to my palette. The Spicy Pork Belly was a nice thick slice and was juicy and tender. The marinade was throughout the Pork Belly and is something I'll definitely order again on my next visit. The Bao buns were super soft and chewy. The Cholula Fried Chicken taco was so good. Crispy on the outside but juicy and tender on the inside. The combination of cabbage, onion and cilantro with the jalapeño lime aoli added so much flavor to the taco. Savory, crunchy and juicy. You have the option of corn or four tortillas for the tacos. Lastly was the Cotilla Fries, who new such a pairing would work so well? Just enough cotilla to add flavor without overpowering the crispy fries. Once word gets out, this place should get the business it deserves. Get in on the experience before more people find out and it gets busy. If you're a foodie definitely check them out. I travel a lot for my job and just stumbled upon them while in the area searching for something different. One of the best places I've had the pleasure of dining in during my travels with work. Totally memorable and now added as a regular stop on my route when I'm in the area. I'll definitely be spreading the word about Punk's Tacos and Bao.

The taste of the food did not disappoint. Loved the chicken, beef bolgogi baos and the rice bowls.
