Pure Nail Bar

I paid around $200 for a manicure, pedicure, massage, and waxing services ($55 for the massage and around $50 for waxing). This was my first time visiting this salon, and unfortunately it ended up being a disappointing experience. The salon itself looked clean and modern, and some of the staff members were polite. The woman (Mary) who did my pedicure and waxing was actually kind, apologized whenever something accidental happened, and gave a good massage. However, there were multiple issues during my appointment. During the pedicure, the nail file hit my skin several times. During the manicure, another technician cut the skin under my nail with the file during the final step and completely ignored it instead of apologizing. I also clearly mentioned THREE times at the beginning, separately to the manager and both technicians, that I wanted dip powder only for my fingernails. But they continued with their own process, and eventually I just said to myself “it’s ok” and agreed to do gel instead because I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it. In the end, it honestly felt like they were not really paying attention to what the customer wanted. After the waxing service, I got home, I noticed burns under my eyes, above my lip, and under my chin. Two days later, all of my cuticles became irritated and damaged as well. I have never experienced this at any other salon before. To be fair, I can’t fully judge the nail shape itself because they mostly followed the exact shape and length of my natural nails with gel overlay, and from that perspective I’m relatively satisfied so far. I actually came here because a friend recommended the salon and her nails usually looked really nice. What made the experience worse was the manager/receptionist’s attitude. I also witnessed another customer get burned by extremely hot water during her pedicure even after warning them twice that the water was too hot. The manager never came to check on her personally and instead focused on payment before even apologizing. Overall, the salon may look nice, but the customer service, attention to safety, and overall experience were very disappointing.

I came here today on a whim as a walk-in. I arrived at about 10:45 AM on a Wednesday and they fit me in immediately. I received a hard gel fill. I came in with square shaped nails, and asked for oval, and I’m very happy with the shape my technician did. I think her name was Kim, but I can’t remember for sure. I showed the technician a picture for the color I wanted, and she came back with the perfect color. The service was quick, but not at the cost of quality. It was reasonably priced. The salon was clean, no harsh chemical smells. Overall, it was a great experience. I’ll be back.

Pure magic at this salon! I’m a regular here (every 5 weeks) and the reason I return for my mani / pedi is because of the welcoming staff, my beautiful and expert nail technician (Han) and how clean and well maintained the salon is. Prices are also extremely fair. I highly recommend Pure Nail Bar in Irvine, long may it last. Five stars.

This place is local and, so glad they opened in this plaza. Really loved how my gel manicure with Ms.Han came out today. Shout out to Han and helping me love my nails even more! First time with her, and she “nailed it.” To give you price, I had to get my gels manicure redone, and with this design $65 was my total. Also, got my pedicure done with Ms.Lily (she gives the best massages) - shoutout to Ms.Lily. Be sure to try in pay in cash, there is a credit card fee- like most nail places. Will be back!
