Sonia did a great job with my thick hair. She took the time to listen, explain her recommendations, and carefully remove bulk without taking off too much length. My hair feels so much lighter, has more movement, and is much easier to manage. I left very happy with the result and will definitely be back! 😊

I am a Castro Valley local and have been going to QCuts as my regular barber / haircutter every other month, for some 3 years now. And, without a doubt, I highly recommend anyone looking to get a clean, quick, and affordable haircut go direct to QCuts CV. Each time I go to QCuts I am warmly greeted by my regular and lovely stylist, Sonia, and given great service. Over the years, Sonia has come to know me, my hair, and my unique needs (since I have wavy-curly hair). She is always conscientious of my comfort, precise with making sure she does as I wish, with my hair, and is a great conversationalist! Atop that, whenever there is a wait or line, Sonia is super communicative about the wait and walkabout options for the meantime. Furthermore, the space is well kept, clean, and inviting. Simply put, if you're wondering whether or not to try QCuts out for yourself, your kiddo, or anyone: GO! You can rest assured they'll fix you up right and you'll exit happy (with either the haircut or experience; most likely both). I cannot recommend QCuts CV enough. P.S. I would give 6/5 stars to Sonia and QCuts if possible.

I’ve been going to Q Cuts in Castro Valley for the past 3 years, and I couldn’t be happier. Paula has been my hairstylist, and she consistently does an amazing job with my balayage and haircuts. She truly understands what I want, listens carefully, and always delivers beautiful, natural-looking results. Highly recommend Paula and Q Cuts to anyone looking for great hair care!

Sonya took me in last minute as she had a cancellation and I just happened to call in at that time. She greeted me very warmly when I did arrive, and knew what I wanted from a couple of photos without me needing to elaborate more. After a very relaxing shampoo, she meticulously took the time to layer my hair very evenly. I’m talking she compared each side to the other to make sure there was no lopsidedness, and I ended up loving my cut so so much. I will be returning to Sonya for all of my haircut needs, and I’m so glad to find a salon so close to home as I used to commute all the way to San Jose for my haircut! Pricing does start at $75, but will be $20 for added shampoo. I ended up paying around $150 with tip because I added on a treatment.

For the past ~3.5 years I've been getting my hair cut by Paula. She's the best barber I've had in my 28 years of existence, and now we're good friends too and recently I moved and still drive the 30 minutes each way to see her. Every cut is consistently high level. You can tell it gives her great joy to beautify people. She doesn't rush but is efficient. I wear her (art)work on my head proudly every time :) She's incredibly sweet and cares about her customers. The same can be said with Sonia. Shoutouts to QCuts!
