I got my nails done here 02/20/24 and had an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff. The space was clean and inviting. The nail technician John is a truly skilled professional. Both the person that greeted me and John took the time to listen to my preferences and provided excellent recommendations for my manicure and pedicure. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the service, from shaping my nails to helping me pick the perfect polish for the purple Jelly nail with a heart cat eye accent nail concept I showed them. Not only did my nails look fantastic when I left, but I also felt relaxed and pampered. The massage chairs during the pedicure were a wonderful touch, and I appreciated the beverage offered during my service even though I brought my own. Overall, I highly recommend ReVamp Nails to anyone looking for top-notch nail care and a really nice welcoming experience. I will definitely be returning! ◟(๑•͈ᴗ•͈)◞

TLDR: Nails looked fine at a distance, but up close they were uneven, crooked, and inconsistent. My previous set was removed unsafely by cutting and prying. When I asked for a refund, they refused. I wouldn’t go back. This was only my second time ever getting acrylic nails done, and I usually only wear press-ons, so I didn’t know what to expect. My very first acrylic set was also done at this salon. Those nails were short, and since I had no experience with acrylics at the time, I didn’t notice any shaping issues. Looking back now, I realize the length probably hid the inconsistencies. With shorter nails, mistakes are much harder to spot. When I went in for my second set, they removed the previous set first. I didn’t know anything about acrylics, so I assumed their removal method was normal. They cut into the acrylic with cuticle clippers and then slid a nail tip underneath to pry the acrylic off. I later learned this is not a safe or standard removal method and can damage your natural nails. Acrylic should always be filed down and soaked in acetone. At the time, I trusted the process because I had no frame of reference and this was all new to me. For the new set, they glued on tip extensions, applied acrylic, and used a cat-eye polish to create a French tip look. At a glance, the nails looked fine. From far away, they looked fine. I honestly thought the shaping and structure were just how acrylic nails are supposed to look. But when I got home and showed my mom (who used to get acrylics done regularly), she immediately pointed out how uneven and inconsistent they were. The longer I looked, the more issues I saw. I eventually researched what proper acrylic nails should look like, and everything my mom told me was confirmed. None of the nails match each other in shape, length, angle, or thickness. Some nails lean to the left, others lean to the right. Some nails are almond-shaped, some are oval, some are almost stiletto, and others are blunt. The width and taper vary finger to finger. The lengths do not match across either hand. My two thumbs are completely different shapes and lengths, which should never happen in a professional set. The acrylic structure itself is uneven. The apex placement changes on every nail. Some nails have a noticeable hump in the center, while others are flat with no apex at all. The acrylic is thick in some spots and thin in others. The side-view photos clearly show bumps, uneven slopes, and bulky areas, instead of the smooth, balanced structure acrylics are supposed to have. The French tip cat-eye polish is also uneven because the acrylic underneath wasn’t shaped correctly. The white cat-eye tips sit at different heights on each finger. Some are slanted, some are jagged, and some look like they were painted on a crooked base BECAUSE THEY WERE. The French tips do not match hand to hand or finger to finger. When I went back the next day to explain the issues and ask for a refund and removal, I was told they “don’t do refunds.” They offered to reshape the nails, but these nails were too inconsistent for reshaping to fix. They would have needed to be completely redone. They then offered me a free new set, but given the unsafe removal method I had experienced before and the poor quality of this set, I did not feel comfortable letting them work on my nails again. Even after explaining all of this calmly, they refused to issue a refund. I left extremely disappointed. From a distance the nails look okay, but when you actually look at them closely or even just look at them for more than a second, the inconsistencies are obvious. The longer I examined them, the more issues I saw. As someone new to acrylics who trusted the process because I didn’t know better, I wish I had known what proper shaping and safe removal were supposed to look like. I hope this review helps others, especially anyone who is new to acrylics like I was, avoid the same experience.

Edit 4 09/05/25 (about 2 months after last visit) - my nails are still damaged and brittle from overfiling, but the damage should grow out in 2-3 more weeks. - Update on nails from my 2nd visit — My nails are still breaking from the overfilling. They are red, raw, and also sensitive and bumpy to the touch. Waste of $180 for both visits. Paid to have broken nails, damaged for the foreseeable future each time. I don’t know why I gave them a second chance. I’m warning y’all, don’t bother! Read the other reviews. This place is no good if you care about your fingernail health. Run away!! - Edit 2: The first time I visited was 12/03/2024. I have added a picture of my nail length and shape which I came to get removed (grown out but no lifting or breakage). At ReVamp, my nails were unevenly filed, broke, and severely damaged afterwards. You can see how bumpy my pinky nail is — I didn’t take many pictures as I was dissatisfied. It’s honestly my fault for thinking the salon had improved after 6 months. - Edit 1 (response to salon reply): Thank you for your response. Any information about nails being more prone to breaking after removal could and should have been communicated at the time of service if you were aware. As I mentioned while in the salon, the drilling during dip powder removal felt harsh, and I have never had removal leave indents in my natural nails until visiting your salon. If this outcome was expected — due to nail length, previous powder, or any other reason — it’s even more disappointing that nothing was said in the moment. Had I been informed that removal here would leave the nails more fragile, I would have made a different decision. Regarding the pedicure, I appreciate the explanation about foot filing and the foot massage itself was enjoyable — but the stones or other tools mentioned were not used on my feet. That said, my main concern remains the nail work. The removal was drilled too far, it was painful at the time, and the shaping was uneven. I will be updating my review later with photos from another visit when I received a dip powder manicure at your salon and still experienced nails breaking — along with evidence of uneven shaping, angles, and excessive filing. I appreciate you taking the time to respond, but I stand by my concerns. Original review: I’ve come here twice, to get dip nails removed and mani pedis, because this salon is closer to home than my usual place. The first time I went, I got dip powder mani pedi — my nails broke soon after. It’s been a few months, and after reading good recent reviews, I decided to give them another chance. My mistake! I usually go to another salon— and not once(!) have I ever had my nails lift or break after going there. But somehow, both of the times I went to revamp nails, my index finger nail cracks at the same position. Whether dip or regular polish, the color tends to quickly crack and peel off. I emphasized when I arrived that I had just grown out my nails (just like the time before). Nail tech told me my nails were uneven, so I OK’d a trim. He cut them to be even more uneven! When I pointed this out, two techs came to file each of my hands. Still uneven, and much worse than before. Please don’t go here if you care about the actual nails. If you like the massage, exfoliation, and massage chair, they can do that well. I gave them a second chance, but both times they rendered my months of nail growth useless! I definitely won’t be going back. $50 for manicure and pedicure. I said I wanted to tip $15, and asked for $35 change, got $30 ( Which is whatever. The $5 will come back to me quickly, but my nail growth won’t!! :( ). Pedicure was nice, but they definitely didn’t get all the dead skin. They don’t clip off/buff dead skin from the bottom of foot well, if at all. Both times I went, I tipped 30% as I usually do at these salons — and I wish I could’ve stopped myself! Spent $70-80 per visit just for broken nails. Wish I could get a refund. I’ll be making the extra drive to my usual nail salon from now on who give me durable, sturdy nails for less.
