RollPlay: Viet Food that Loves You Too!

Ordered takeout thru app to get the BOGO deal. We were pleasantly surprised with what we got. The food in the bowls were evenly distributed and flavorful. Adding the sauce just elevated the dish! Must have the bowls, btw the packet they give has napkins n utensils, also a toothpick! Nice surprise.

After months of getting ads to try this place, I finally put it on my list for when I fly back to NorVa. Since UberEats was running a special of buy one get one free, I opted for ordering to-go via the app. I ordered the combination pho, chicken and shrimp egg rolls, and received the chili oil set as a gift for meeting the spending requirement. I will say attempting to get to the restaurant was an experience to say the least 🥴 and parking is far limited so I suggested parking in the parking deck not too far from it. And unfortunately I did not go inside to retrieve the food but I was told it’s extremely small inside. The bag of food was pipingggg hot. I was salivating all the way home. Pictured you’ll see the spread of what I ordered. The normal portion for the egg rolls is two but since it’s BOGO free, I ended up with four. I tasted the broth by itself since that lets me know how amazing the food is going to be. Lots of flavor! You can tell they put hard work into but the star of the show was the oxtails. Oh! My! GOD! I’ve never had more tender meat in a pho before. And it was an abundance of meat. I added a sprig of lime juice for the nice acidic kick and devoured my pho. The egg rolls were delicious as well. A nice crispy exterior with a soft interior. It was supposed to come with sweet chili sauce but it wasn’t in the bag so we used the store bought we had in the fridge. Nevertheless this is a solid app! I sampled the chili oil set. I’m very fond of the oil. Not too spicy and the flavors of garlic is prominent. The chili crunch is ok but the peanuts are what I taste most. I will definitely enjoy this restaurant again.

Food and staff were both amazing. The man working the counter gave us the tip to order pickup through ubereats to get everything buy 1 get 1 free and a free dessert! The pho broth and veggie spring rolls were our favorite.

Hmm… We picked up food for dinner. I tried this place a couple of years ago and was disappointed by the flavor and portion sizes. My husband wanted to give it another try, so we did. Well, he finally agreed with me. Haha. We’re not trying to be mean, but honestly, when there are plenty of pho restaurants in the area, there’s no reason for us to eat here. The flavors were confusing. My chicken pho had a rich, heavy beef broth. They had already pointed out that there’s only beef broth available, but I thought it would be a lighter version that paired better with chicken. The chicken also appeared to be roasted, which seemed unusual and confusing. The rice noodles were so stiff and undercooked that we couldn’t even slurp them. The whole dish was just confusing. We both ordered extra meat with our pho, but the portions still did not feel filling. We normally do not order extra meat at our usual pho restaurants, and the regular portions are enough. The summer rolls were also too large to eat comfortably and extremely dry. They were so dry that I started coughing. We had a difficult time finishing them. My husband is not even a picky eater, and he commented several times about how disappointing the food was. It was not cheap either—about $60 for two people. I honestly do not understand how this place stays in business when there are so many other pho restaurants nearby. Maybe someone trying pho and summer rolls for the first time might enjoy it. We hope this review helps the business improve. Unfortunately, we will not return unless there are major improvements. This is simply honest feedback from a customer who really, really loves pho.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE their oxtail pho! June 2026: I am updating my review to share a concerning experience for the awareness and safety of other diners. During a recent visit, I found a bug in my pho. I contacted the restaurant and spoke with Kevin, the manager, who assured me that he would investigate the matter and get back to me with his findings. After waiting a couple of weeks without any follow-up, I reached out to Kevin multiple times via text requesting an update. Unfortunately, I never received a response. While I understand that issues can occasionally arise in any restaurant, I am disappointed by the lack of communication and follow-through regarding a serious food safety concern. I am sharing this experience so that other patrons can make informed decisions when dining at this location. I had hoped the restaurant would address the situation responsibly and transparently, but the absence of any response has compelled me to update my review.
