Roop Sari Palace

If I could give Roop Sari Palace 10 stars, it would not be enough. We drove in from Austin, on the hunt for outfits for my sons wedding. The WHOLE staff was super helpful. My daughter suffers from pretty bad anxiety, and everyone was so patient with her. Giving her room for breaks, and understanding that we were going to take a little longer than normal. No one made us feel bad about it. The ladies at the jewelry counter are top notch experts at adding the perfect final touches. Protip, if you did not get out outfit from Roop, bring a picture of it, so they can find you the perfect bit of bling to make you look complete. So thankful for all of your help making us look like a million bucks on my sons wedding day.

I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated at Roop Sari Palace. This was not the first time I felt judged here, but this experience was the worst. I visited the store to shop for wedding clothes and politely asked an employee twice to help me because I had arrived before another customer. Instead of assisting me, the staff ignored me and gave all of their attention to another lady. It seemed like they assumed she was a more valuable customer because she was carrying a designer bag, wearing makeup, and speaking fluent English. When I asked why I wasn’t being helped first, I was told to step aside so they could help the other customer before closing. It was only around 6:00 p.m., and the store wasn’t even closing at that time. When I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor, I was told, “We are the supervisors,” and that they didn’t have time to help me. The most hurtful part was when one of the employees told me, “This is not a store for you.” No customer should ever hear those words. I left feeling embarrassed, humiliated, and deeply disrespected. I wear a headscarf, and I couldn’t help but feel that I was being judged because of my appearance, the way I speak English, or because I didn’t look like someone they thought would spend a lot of money. This is not the first time I have felt this way at Roop Sari Palace, but this experience confirmed it for me. Every customer deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their appearance, language, or perceived financial status. I hope the owners read this review and provide proper customer service training to their staff. No one should ever be made to feel like they don’t belong in a store simply because of how they look.

Quality, pricing and variety is good. Customer service, however, is lacking big time. Sales associates hover around while you're shopping, are pushy, and unhelpful. They are not inclined to answering questions or showing shelved pieces if you initially decide to shop around on your own. I get that it's how they make their commission, but standing next to customers as they look around is super uncomfortable. Lady at the register was also pretty rude.

Many choices when it comes to clothing and jewelry, the inventory is massively overpriced and generally marked down 50 percent to make you feel like you are getting a deal. I have had great customer service at times and have spent thousands of dollars on various events. However, I have also had bad experiences where the sales associate insisted on showing me clothing that was far too big and she was very pushy about altering it to fit rather than admitting that they just didn’t have a good selection in the proper size. She also refused to look for more choices in the back. I will be shopping elsewhere in the future.

Bought a three piece for a wedding…for the price paid it is cheaply made and left the top for alterations which was poorly done. Threads coming out, there was no care for the piece…beads were missing. I also asked and paid for the breast pads to be removed and instead it was sewn into the dress and when asked the seamstress just pressured to keep the pads on. I didn’t have time to argue given the wedding is this week…but I agree with other reviews, unprofessional and lack of care
