Rose La Moon Thai Food & Desserts

Had a great experience at the restaurant. I ordered Pad Thai and a coconut dessert. The Pad Thai is so far the best that I’ve ever had in the Bay Area. It’s not super sweet and greasy, and the flavor is just about right. The shrimp was also fresh and clean. The dessert was served warm, with taro balls, coconut milk and meat in there. That was good too. It’s a small restaurant but the food is definitely worth a visit.

A nice and cute place with a small amount of indoor seating. It looks to be a small family run establishment serving well known Thai dishes. While I enjoyed my food, my serving portion was unsatisfying small. I realize that meals out are expensive these days with the cost of labor and all that, but ultimately you want customers to come back.

Cutest hole in the wall super mom and pop Thai spot! The mango sticky rice reminds me of the ones served at Bangkok cafes and airport, sooo good. And the chicken skewers! Sauce is insane.

Rosa la moon is my new favorite. The food was so tasty and flavors were very authentic I think, at a super affordable price point. The menu doesn't have thai curries and is more hawker style stir fry. The green mango salad was spicy, salty with crispy fish and sweet from palm sugar. It was very refreshing with herbs and crunchy with cashews. The drunken noodle was delicious with multiple varieties of Thai red pepper, and loads of wokhei. The hat yai chicken was batter free which was nice but not extraordinary. The yellow curry stir fry was yummy with crab, celery, curry powder and pork. The mango sticky rice was warm and savory with not too much condensed milk. The mango was sweet but not too sweet. The Thai iced coffee was frothy and not overly sweet. Service was friendly and the place is small but impeccably clean and organized. Will be a regular here.

Decorated spot worth sitting down in, but I happen to order take out. Ordering process is through a big touch screen at the counter, but the lady was there helping me with questions and gave me some samples of the desserts while I waited for my food. There were 2 other women in the kitchen making my to go dinner fresh. It was great! Crispy but juicy chicken, perfect sticky rice, and a refreshing sweet corn salad. The bottled soy milk and corn tapioca dessert somehow reminded me of childhood, and I’m not even Thai 😹
