I came here for a 60 min Reiki Chakra Balancing a few months back. It’s taken me a bit to write a review because I had mixed feelings about the experience (and also forgot). Lauren spent a long time before the session getting to know me and the current phase of my life/issues I was having. During the session, the Reiki energy was incredibly intense and I loved the soundbowls. However, her style is to talk throughout the entire session, giving lots of advice. Personally, this took away from the relaxation of the Reiki energy. I couldn’t help but think that the “divine messages” she channeled were just her own personal opinions about my issues stated before the session. At the time, I was feeling really overwhelmed with the state of the world and the direction the US govt is moving in. Her advice was to basically not pay attention to what is going on outside of my immediately community in order to maintain my inner peace. This just came across as spiritual bypassing to me. This kind of avoidant behavior/hyper individualism/“feel good all the time” vibes is so rampant in the spiritual community. Although my body felt incredibly calm after the session, I was also feeling quite angry. Had she clearly stated that her advice was personal to her own perspective, maybe I would have just released it and moved on. However, this advice was claimed to be from divine messaging, implying it was objectively true. The advice lacked nuance as well. Being in the vulnerable position, it is very uncomfortable to just flat out disagree with what she is saying. I understand the importance of only giving to your capacity and making sure to take care of yourself, but I pay attention to the world so that l can be better allies to my less privileged friends/community. Not all of us want to check out. I really wanted to make this my spot, but I felt we were very fundamentally different. I am also a Reiki practitioner myself and her style was very different from what I am accustomed to/prefer.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I recently received a Reiki healing and massage session, and I truly felt relief and renewal from the moment I walked in. She took her time with care and intention — every movement felt thoughtful, and her touch was both gentle and healing. She has such a kind hearted, calming presence, and it shows through in her work. I left feeling lighter, centered, and fully supported, both physically and spiritually. Her service was nothing short of excellent — and I’ve already booked my next appointment! If you’re looking for someone who’s not only talented but genuinely cares about your well-being, I highly recommend her. She’s the real deal. 🥰

This was my first trip to Sage roots. This was one of the best experiences that I’ve had receiving a Reiki healing service. Lauren was so sweet and so attentive and really catered to exactly what I needed to hear. I read the reviews before I went in because I wanted to make sure that I was choosing the right place to get a Reiki. I’m very happy that I found this place because this was such a great experience that I’m putting this into my monthly budget to do this once a month. Thank you so much!!!

Lauren is a true gift! Went in for my first massage and reiki experience and it was amazing and exactly what my body needed. Lauren was able to guide me through the whole process and all of her insight was very applicable to my life. The massage was amazing. I feel like a weight has been lifted. Highly recommend.

I had my first in person reiki and massage session with Lauren, the owner of the spa, and it was a great experience. The set up of the spa is serene and calm. I knew I mommy chakras needed a lot of balancing… the experience was so helpful and Lauren was so nice. The spa is in a great part of Dallas and easy to access.
