The new salon is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! I feel like I’m in a chic tree house where everyone leaves prettier than they arrived. It’s absolute magic, I love the new coffee bar and drinks + snacks. I have always had the best experience that now I’m doing extensions here as well which have been extremely more successful than previously. Everyone really cares here and you can tell. It must stem from the owner Meagan. You can’t miss her, she’s talking to everyone, extremely kind and very approachable. You could tell her you hate it and she’d handle it. Love this place even more at the new location. Whatever you need they can do.

i had a great experience with Meagan at SalonTrose! she was incredibly easy to work with — listened to exactly what i wanted and made the whole appointment feel effortless. the cut and style she gave me was top quality, and i left feeling like a million bucks. you can tell she really knows her craft. i'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Meagan to anyone looking for a stylist who delivers!

If you're a person of color, skip this salon. I'm not sure if it's a skill issue or if they're just ignorant to the different needs of different hair textures. I'm Indian and have wavy hair — not the hardest texture to do a good blowout on — but I should’ve known something was off when the hairstylist stopped after about four passes with barely any tension. Sure enough, my hair poofed up within two hours. It was a waste of $70 when I could’ve just gone to my usual place, where they’ve always done it properly. I only chose this salon because it was closer and I had a really busy day before my event, so I wanted less stress, but this just added more once I saw the photos I had taken afterward. I even made sure to keep the AC up in the car and avoided being outside in the sun or humidity for too long, so this felt more like an issue with the blowout products and technique. I also didn’t feel the hairstylist properly scrub the back of my head while shampooing, and the products they use honestly don’t smell that great either. After the rollers (which is a 10$ surcharge on the service), I noticed my hair still wasn’t as curled or bouncy as the type of blowout I had asked for, so the hairstylist ended up using a curling wand to heat it up so it would fall better throughout the day. You can still see remnants of that in my ends, but right before that you could already see how puffed up the blowout had gotten. My original hairstylist was also changed through a phone call a few days before my appointment, and since I’d never been to this salon before, I agreed because I didn’t know who was considered a good stylist there. I just honestly didn’t expect to leave this disappointed.

Honestly this was my worst experience yet at a salon, I have a huge event today went to get my hair done and left as fast as I could to cry. I get it I’m a black girl with textured hair so my hair does take a little longer but maybe 20 mins longer than a normal service my hair was straightened in to big of sections. The stylist I chose was because in her profile picture she had curly hair so I figured she would know how to do my type of hair. Here’s my problem with the service I visited many dry bars and they always get my hair bone straight and with just one pass. During my service it was consistent clamping at the roots which was when I realized my hair was not going to come out good. I know my hair stylist could tell I didn’t like my hair. And I paid regardless because she did the work. I just left really unsatisfied and it sucks because I have event now at 8pm and absolutely hate my hair. The state it’s in now is usually what it looks like before I decide to go back to my curly hair. I have attached my blowout from today 12:45 vs my blowout 1 week later not 10 minutes after my appointment from last month when I visited a different place and got a blowout. And I don’t own a straightener. This absolutely sucks
