Shiatsu Renu

This is my favorite place to let my muscles relaxed and feel better. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes. I have gone here with sciatic nerve pain, neck, back, feet pain… all types of pains and they are like doctors. They always leave me feeling better, and they are nice!

The gentleman did a nice job for the most part. However, as a skinny person, it was a little too much pressure. Muscles felt great but my bones were definitely sore.

The guy with the black teeth got upset because I paid 70 dollars for two 30 min foot massages and I didn’t tip. He asked me “why” I didn’t tip and shook his head. I will never ever go here again! No one is obligated to tip! The service was paid for!

Yesterday was my second visit. *The first time I went, I had a great experience.* Yesterday was a painful experience. I selected a back massage and foot massage. Even though it was supposed to be a back massage, the lady massaged my arms, my arm pits, my sternum, and my upper chest too. (That is NOT what I asked for.) For the last 20 minutes or so, the pressure was so hard that it was painful. I told her it was too hard, but she did not understand English. She was using ridiculously strong pressure everywhere, including on my neck. I should have just stood up and told her to stop. I regret allowing her to continue. I have bruises on my shoulders, arms, and back. I am a person who enjoys relatively strong pressure during massages. But I have never had an experience like this before. I have never had bruises after a massage — multiple bruises. My neck, back, shoulders, and arms are tender and sore and bruised. After the massage while I was paying, I tried to communicate with her to explain that the pressure was painful. But she just stared at me because she did not understand what I was saying. I wanted to use Google Translate, so I asked her what language she speaks. That way, I could explain things with a translation from English to her native language. But she still did not understand when I asked what her native language is. A man came over, and he didn’t understand me either. He opened Google Translate on his phone, and I said into the speaker, “What is your native language?” Then he responded, “Chinese.” At that point, I was just ready to get out of there, so I didn’t bother to use Google Translate to explain the extreme pressure and pain. I am respectful of other people’s languages and cultures. However, in this particular case, the lack of ability to communicate with the masseuse was extremely frustrating because she didn’t understand when I tried to tell her the pressure was too hard and painful. Again, I regret that I allowed her to continue. I should have just stood up and shook my head “no.”
